IT'S feast or famine with this week’s football cards and today certainly sees the former with masses to choose from – I’m sticking with a game from the lower leagues and also a UK goals long shot.
Billericay v Dartford
It’s been a crazy few weeks for Billericay fans – manager sacked via text during a game by bonkers owner Glen Tamplin before putting the club up for sale and all sorts of other shenanigans centering around Tamplin’s running of the club.
That said the players aren’t letting that phase them – their solid form continues and a 2nd place position sees them still well in the title race.
Dartford were expected to be right up there after a close run promotion fail last year but whichever way I look at it, it’s been far from successful with just 11 points after 9 and 3 successive away defeats.
Prices just look too big for Billericay here and I assume the troubles around them are affecting the prices – while I understand that it’s clear to see it aint affecting the squad who probably half expected it with loose cannon Tamplin in charge.
Assistant gaffer Danny Hazel even alluded to this in a local interview stating “they are very good players – really, what goes on in the background doesn’t affect them”.
With the hosts welcoming back Grenadan striker Ricky Modeste from international duty and the fact they have netted 7 team goals in their last two at home I just can’t help but think the bookies have this one wrong:
- Billericay over 1.5 team goals (4-5, bet365) 4pts
- Billericay over 2.5 team goals (5-2, bet365) 1pt
Goals Long Shot
- Chelsea
- Man City
- Newcastle
- Hull
- Swindon
- Fylde
- Blyth
- Darlington
- Billericay
- QoS
- Over 2.5 match goals tenfold
- (168-1, bet365) 1pt
Think you mean over 2.5 for the second bet pal?!
I do mean Over 2.5 tgs and I did state that in my post @gilly – think it just gets typoed wrong sometimes when admin repost onto here…simple mistake and easy to see from prices.
