IT had been a great week until yesterday but certainly back to earth with a bump.
Onwards though and two games I like the look of with the first hailing from the Northern Challenge Cup.
Basford Utd v Buxton (7.45pm)
OK so it may not be a glamour tie – rather than no sleep til Brooklyn it’s more no sheep til Buxton but I don’t care as long as there are goals involved and with Basford in the mix they shouldn't to be too far away.
The hosts have been great to back for goals this last two years or so and matches at Greenwich Avenue have stood out in particular with consecutive game totals of 4-3-4-6-1-7-2-5-4-6-4-7-4-3-5-2-3-5-4-4-6-3-3-7-5-4-8-1-9-5 over the last 12 months – that makes it 22 out of 31 successive home games seeing 4 or more!
Buxton may not be in such a rich vein of goalscoring form but are pretty consistent in grabbing a goal on their travels with just 5 of the last 26 seeing them fail to find the net.
- Over 3.5 match goals (11-8, bet365)

My second pick comes from the Bulgarian Youth League and although it’s not my usual stomping ground it could be worth a look for lower stakes.
Ludogorets 2 v Nesebar (12.30am)
Three of the last 5 H2Hs between these two have seen at least 4 goals and Nesebar, having been involved in a good few high-scoring matches away, will arrive at a Ludogorets side undefeated in 5 with some decent results against so-called better opposition.
- Over 3.5 match goals (11-10, bet365)
