Both of Rizzel's horses, Al Shabab and Yes Day were backed in, but neither could deliver the goods.
Yes Day jumped brilliantly on chase debut but in the end looked like he needed the run, so he will be one for next time out. Al Shabab was very disappointing despite having strong money behind him for the second run in a row. He was squeeze for a bit of room when the race got serious, but he still had plenty of time when he got daylight.
Rizzel has opted not to have a bet today as he can't find anything of decent value or with a solid chance of winning, but I've found one at Musselburgh that I like the look of.

Master Technician 5/2 – Musselburgh 1.05
I've made this particular selection in advance, so I have no idea what odds this horse will be priced up at. If it is extremely short, I've advised Rizz to remove my selection. However, if it's an acceptable price for a punt, then he will know to fire it up anyway.
For my sole selection on Wednesday, I will take a chance on the Rod Millman-trained and Milddleham Park Racing-owned Master Technician who contests in a 7f restricted maiden stakes at Musselburgh.
My selection has gone from strength to strength in his three runs to date and despite not getting his head in front, there were more positives to take than negatives from his three outings. He outran his odds on debut when sent off a 33/1 chance at Windsor over a mile and followed up from that effort with a narrow three-and-a-quarter length defeat at Bath 12 days later over the same distance. He was beaten at Bath by the now 85-rated The Green Mile. The Green Mile has yet to back up the form, however, that one has been thrown into deep waters recently when soundly beaten in a Group 3 by around 27L. With that said, prior to the Group 3 contest he did run with credit in a competitive-looking Class 2.
Connections opted to drop my selection down in trip to 7f for his most recent outing, which saw him finish 2L behind an unexposed Karl Burke runner in Antonin Dvorak who after only three runs is rated 87. Master Technician was a bit tap for toe when the pace quickened in that contest, however, he is still a lightly raced horse learning on the job and there is every reason to believe he can take a further step forward for the experience.
