For Monday's Lucky 15 tips Cairnzy and Rizzel have picked out two horses on the flat from Windsor and Ayr as well as two from Downpatrick's jumps meeting.

Cairnzy's Tips

The Dragon King 7/2 – Windsor 5.15

Only six go to post for this race but it looks a wide-open affair on paper as you can make cases for nearly all of them. The favourite looks a tad short and I'll happily take him on with The Dragon King who represents a bit of value in the market at 7/2.

He let favourite backers down in his first two outings but improved from them two runs to win last time out in nice fashion at Doncaster. He arrives here on a handy mark and with further progress likely, he seems the most solid alternative to take on the current market leader.

Aviemore 11/2 – Ayr 5.10

My last selection for Monday's Lucky 15 tips is a bit of a risky one, but I think it's worth giving Aviemore another chance in this contest after disappointing on handicap debut a couple of weeks ago. He showed signs of promises before his last outing when finishing runner-up twice at Carlisle over 1m1f. He remains lightly raced and completely unexposed in this sphere and the step up in trip to 1m2f looks worth exploring.

Rizzel's Tips

Coole Cherry 5/4 – Downpatrick 2.40

Coole Cherry has failed to deliver on every start over her career so far but was runner-up in all four of her bumper runs with three of those runs producing RPRs in the mid 100's. She has had a winter/spring break, which would have done her the world of good as she didn't do too much on her first two starts over hurdles, but the last run was a better effort over a trip which didn't look to suit, as the level of opposition has turned out to be decent. This is a weak race and in theory, she only has to beat the Gordon Elliott horse.

Tipp For Mac 4/1 – Downpatrick 3.50

Thomas Cooper sends a rare runner to Downpatrick with Tipp For Mac. Cooper is 2/10 at this track, and his runner today comes into this competitive 80-102 hurdle handicap in great form. He jumped like a grand piano when he finished third at Roscommon, and the form of that race looks solid with the runner-up winning on their next start (also runs in this race). If Tipp For Mac jumped soundly throughout he would've won that race with ease. Last time out he jumped better but bumped into a horse who arrived to the race with a win under his belt, so it was a very good effort. Tom Kelly goes for the one ride at Downpatrick and takes off a handy 7lbs.

WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?

A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:

– 1 fourfold accumulator

– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections

– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination

– 4 singles

The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
