For Fridays Lucky 15 bet, Rizz and I have concentrated on the meeting at Cheltenham for our four selections.

be sure to let us know in the comments who you fancy to win at the meeting at Cheltenham on Friday.

Cairnzy's Tips

Doyen Quest 11/8 – Cheltenham 3.35

The Skelton yard are in red hot form at present having landed another few winners yesterday. Doyen Quest is on the short side of things in terms of his price but I think this unexposed stayer should take all the beating in this contest.

My selection is up 10lb from when winning at this course during the November meeting but it was hard to not be impressed in how he went about his business that day. He did make an error early on in that contest but despite that he was pretty much flawless and showed a nice turn of foot in the run-in to win comfortably by 5L. If he turns up in similar form then he should have no issues in defying a 10lb rise.

From the remainder, Zain Nights I thought was a decent eachway play at 12/1, while Long Draw has to be respected for another inform yard despite a frustrating run of seconds.

Wingmen 2/1 – Cheltenham 12.10

It could be a good day for the Henderson yard but I've had a shocking time of late in backing their horses and despite That's Nice being a hot favourite for this contest, I think he's worth taking on with Gordon Elliots Wingmen who looks decent value at double the price in such a small runner field.

Despite some iffy jumping last time out, I thought there was a lot to like about Wingmens hurdle debut at Navan, which saw him win comfortably enough 3L to Henry De Bromheads Forty Coats who at the time was on for the hat trick. Wingmen jumped out to the right throughout that contest and did make a slight error when jumping the fourth from home but did stick to the task well and you'd expect Gordon Elliot to have schooled him on his jumping within that time for this contest.

There is no doubt his jumping will need to improve if he is to get the better of That's Nice but he looks a nice prospect nonetheless.

Rizzel's tips

Anyharminasking 16/1 – Cheltenham 1.15

I was tempted by a couple of horses towards the bottom of the weights, with the likes Mirabad, Lively Citizen and Cavern Club all shouting out off the page to have decent enough chances (Lively Citizen would need to severley come back to form), but the more I looked at this race, the more I though it was competitive because not one horse stood out, and when it's like that, I think the classier horses can come back to form and are often overlooked as they have had a couple of bad runs, so Anyhariminasking was worth a go in this contest.

On his day, Anyharminasking is a very good horse and he could easily prove that off a handicap mark of 133. He can't be over the hill at the age of seven, and he showed at the start of last year that he is capable of cutting it at a decent level. He was second in the Welsh Champion Hurdle at Chepstow on the opening weekend of last year's jump season, finishing second to Nemean Lion off the same mark as today and the winner has since gone to the low 150s and is currently rated 148.

He has been running over slightly further, and ran well at Cheltenham to kickstart this season, but that was over 2m 4f, and I thought back over 2m 1f on good to soft ground around the new track could be what he wants, more than a longer trip.

Stumptown 4/1 – Cheltenham 3.00

I was going to look elsewhere for my second fancy for the Lucky 15, but when I saw my Aintree Grand National Antepost hope Stumptown having a run in the X-Country, I felt like I had to play him.

I backed this horse with a few quid a couple of months ago for the Grand National at 66/1, so it was nice to see him win over the banks at Punchestown on his seasonal reappearance. His odds have dropped to around 50/1, I completely forgot to mention about the Antepost bet, but as I've just said if you are thinking about following me, you can get some big prices still. I think this game of jumps racing over the bigger fences will suit as he has a cracking engine and he often jumps for fun.

Today's race will ask some different questions for Stumptown as this track is very unique, but given he handles the banks at Punchestown, he should be perfectly fine for this. His fitness will be assured, and whenever Cromwell sends one over to the UK and has Keith Donoghue doing the steering, it generally means they are supremely confident of a big run.

Advised bet – Straight win Lucky 15

We tend to advise each way for our Lucky 15 bets but three of the selections are on the shorter side of things, while one contests in a race which is win only due to only four runners. Opting for a straight win only L15 makes more sense this time around.
