Day one's Lucky 15 bet was a disaster, but hopefully, the tables can turn in our favour on Day 2 with more top-class racing on offer.

Dancing City 9/2 EW – Cheltenham 2.00

Ballyburn looks the most likely winner of this contest, but from an eachway angle, I thought the Willie Mullins second string could be the next best horse on offer.

My selection has won his last four races and has improved massively in the jumping department which ultimately is everything regarding having a chance in this contest. Dancing City doesn't half lack an engine and with stamina in abundance, he should be bang there when contesting at the finish.

In regards to Dancing City's form, he filled the placings in last year's Albert Bartlett and has three Grade One's to his name already, one of which was a victory over Ben Paulings' The Jukebox Man. The win over The Jukebox Man reads particularly well, with that one boosting the form by winning his following two races, which includes a win in the Grade 1 Ladbrokes Kauto Star Novices' Chase on Boxing Day.

JPR One 10/1 EW – Cheltenham 16.40

JPR One has been tipped on the main thread on more than one occasion, and he comes here as my main fancy in this year's Grand Annual.

JPR One is most certainly the more classier types on offer and being the highest rated horse in the field of a rating of 156 means he has to carry top weight which is never ideal but nonetheless I still think he has a cracking chance at a nice price.

My selection has enjoyed a decent time since returning from wind surgery last year, returning to form with a victory over the Venetia Williams trained Djelo. The form of that win now reads well, with Djelo winning two of his three next races, including victories over Protektorat and Hitman.

JPR One is probably unlucky not to have a Cheltenham victory on his CV already having unseated his rider back in 2023 after looking the most likely winner. He should give punters a run for their money at a nice price as he comes here in search of some Cheltenham revenge.

Jonbon 4/5 EW – Cheltenham 16.00

I've decided to add in a short-priced selection in today's Lucky 15 bet, and although nothing is a banker at Cheltenham Jonbon is certainly the closest thing to that on day 2.

Nicky Henderson will be hoping Jonbon can bring home the goods on Day 2 ,after his banker of the meeting in Constitution Hill fell yesterday in the Champion Hurdle.

Jonbon isn't the most exciting of prices at 4/5 but I'm solid on his chances of rewarding favourite backers in this contest. My slight worry is Jonbon's course form at Cheltenham, having finished second behind Constitution Hill and El Fabiolo already within his career.

My selection missed out on last year's Cheltenham festival due to the illness that fell over the Henderson stable but since then he has cemented himself as the star within this particular division. His form figures of 17 wins from 20 races is there for all to see and his most recent win in the Clarence house chase makes him the one to beat in my opinion.

Busselton 7/1 EW – Cheltenham 3.20

I'll be honest, I am strong on the chances of the current market leader Stumptown, who has already been tipped up on the main thread by my good friend Rizz.

From an eachway angle, I thought Busselton was worth a chance in what looks a wide-open Cross Country contest. My selection gets in here of a low weight and caught the eye recently when a staying on fourth in a Grade 2 contest at Navan. The conditions at Navan that day were testing but I thought Busseltown ran a blinder despite finishing 13L behind the eventual winner.

My selection remains unexposed in this sort of sphere and back on more suitable ground, could outrun his odds against those towards the head of the market.
