Small card tonight but there are some big matches being played with 4 coming from the EPL, Celtic looking to increase their lead at the top of the table against St Johnstone and a scattering of cup games across Europe. I'm sticking to matches in the UK and have two selections.

  • Bournemouth vs Chelsea (7.45pm)
  • Southampton vs Crystal Palace (7.45pm)
  • Liverpool vs Leicester (8pm)
  • Tottenham vs Watford (8pm)

Just 4 matches being played tonight the EPL but given the quality of teams on show, I  like the look of Skybets total goals special.

You are getting 12+ goals at 10/11 and yes that averages out at 3 goals per match but with the Likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs in action against sides who are all capable of scoring themselves,  it should be in with a good shout and hopefully one of them goes goals crazy to give you a bit of  a buffer if one of the games is low scoring

Chelsea travel to the south coast to take on a Bournemouth side who have seen over 2.5 goals in 11 of their last 13 matches at home. The hosts have scored in 12 of their  last 14 home matches in the EPL and with Chelsea conceding in 7 of their last 8 on the road it should set us up nicely

Liverpool, what incentive they have tonight to move 7 points clear – I expect them to do so but Leicester won't make it easy, they are at full strength and have scored in 5 of their last 6 visits to Anfield . Plenty of goals when these two meet and with Liverpools attacking threat, we should see at least three goals here (hopefully more)

Watford are flying at the moment and its hard to se them not scoring away at spurs tonight – The hosts have had some tough games but as we know, on their  day can blow away anyone. BTTS

The final games sees two sides who are scoring freely but are also shipping plenty of goals  – Palace's last 5 away games in the EPL have seen 22 goals  – more of the same tonight please against a saints side who's  last 5 have all seen over 2.5 goals

Recommended Bet:

  • 12+ goals to be scored
  • 10/11 (Skybet) (NAP)

Celtic vs St Johnstone (7.45pm)

These two will meet 3 times in the next 11 days and I don't think many people will fancy anything other than a Celtic win tonight.

That said, Celtic are playing a weaker back 4 and with our pace going forward, there's no reason we we cant compete and nick a goal

Fully expect Celtic to win but feel there is value backing the Perth Saints to score especially if Watt and Kennedy are on song with other options in Swanson and O'Hallaron.

We've competed well  enough at Parkhead in recent seasons 0-0 1-1 4-1 1-0 3-1 3-1 0-1  and have scored in 5 of our last 7 visits

Recommended Bet:

  • St Johnstone to score
  • 6/5 (William Hill)

Looks good there could quite easily be 5 or 6 in the Liverpool game alone.

Premiership currently lacking goals first half.

    12 goals + looking difficult now :-(

Liverpool looking good for the league but 14 games still to go.
