As the DP World Tour gets ever nearer to its grand finale in a few weeks, this week we look forward to the Mallorca Open at Son Muntaner Golf Club, Palma, Mallorca, Spain.

The 120 field with the top 65 including ties making the cut, will all be competing for a share of the €2M prize purse with the winner collecting the Mallorca Open title and a winner's cheque for €340,000.

Jeff Winther returns to defend his title having won this event last year at Golf Santa Ponsa, it was the Dane’s maiden DP World Tour title .

Son Muntaner will be playing 6,952 yards long this week or short as the case me be, it’s a par 71 parkland track where the key to success will be racking up birdies on this unfamiliar terrain. It should be a birdie paradise so I’d expect a very low scorecard this week in Palma.

The weather is forecast to be mostly sunny and warm with cloudy intervals, especially on Thursday. Breezes are expected to peak at around 14mph.

This event will be screened on Sky Sports Golf & Sky Sports Main Event with live coverage starting at 1 pm on Thursday afternoon.

So let’s move in with this week's Mallorca Open betting tips.

Ewen Ferguson 55/1 EW 10Bet

For my first and main selection in Palma, I’m going to advise Ewen Ferguson 55/1 EW 10Bet. The young 26yrs old Scotsman from the city of Glasgow is one of our homegrown superstars in the making and has already scooped two DP World Tour titles this year with lots more to come in the future, possibly as soon as this weekend.

He got off the mark this season winning his maiden title at the ISPS Handa World Invitational then proved it was no fluke by winning the Qatar Masters a few weeks later. I do however have concerns that the Glaswegian has missed the cut at all off his last four events but prior to that, he did finish runner-up at the Made in Himmerland in Denmark.

On the stats front, Ferguson ranks 9th on the DP World Tour this year for Greens in Regulation and it’s these figures that could be the most important this week, especially with water waiting almost everywhere. It’s been a tremendous year so far for Ewen Ferguson and it could be about to get even better with a hattrick of victories in 2022 when he adds the Mallorca Open trophy to the already busy cabinet.

Rasmus Hojgaard 12/1 EW Unibet

For my next pick, I’m going to single out Rasmus Hojgaard 12/1 EW Unibet.

This 21-year-old super kid from Billund in Denmark is on fire at the moment and what a future this kid has ahead. At such a young age he already has what most in this field can only dream about with three DP World crowns already in the bag.

Winner at the Mauritius Open, winner at the ISPS Handa UK Championship and the winner also at the Omega European Masters, he’s still only 21.  Although he hasn’t won an event this year, he has been knocking on the door with ten Top 20 finishes, the best of them being runner-up at the recent Cazoo Open de France.

He has only missed two cuts all year playing in star-studded fields and the third youngest player ever to win on the DP World Tour could get rewarded for his consistency this weekend as he scoops the Mallorca Open to make it yet another victorious year. Since 2019 Rasmus Hojgaard has won an event every year and that trend can continue this Sunday afternoon in the sunshine in Spain .

Eddie Pepperell 25/1 EW LiveScore.bet

For my next betting prediction, I’m going to point you all in the direction of steady Eddie Pepperell 25/1 EW LiveScore.bet.

Eddie is another who can boast success having bagged two DP World Tour titles and been unlucky on so many other occasions. The very likeable 31 yrs old from Oxford who likes to speak his mind has been popping up on the radar most of the year with his best performance coming at the Hero Open where he finished runner-up.

Eddie has nine Top 20 finishes this season with two of those inside the Top 10. He’s been showing up on leaderboards everywhere since getting off to a bad start missing the first four cuts at the start of the year. On the stats front, Eddie Pepperell ranks 10th on the DP World Tour for Driving Accuracy and these figures could help Steady Eddie get just what he deserves this weekend when he’s celebrating on the sunshine island with another DP World Tour title in the bag, it couldn’t happen to a better guy.

For my final selection, it’s the customary match bet and for this week's Nap I’m going to advise Andy Sullivan who’s coming back into his game to beat Joost Luiten over 72 holes 4/6 Nap Bet365.
