Following the Open de Espana last week, the DP World Tour heads back to the United Kingdom for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland. The tournament is unique for several reasons which makes it one that attracts a lot of attention from European golf fans.
Firstly, the tournament isn't held at a single course. Over the first three days, three different rounds will take across three of Scotland's finest golf courses – The Old Course at St Andrews, Carnoustie Golf Links and Kingsbarns Golf Links.
Secondly, each professional will be paired with an amateur throughout the week as part of a secondary pro-am tournament. At the end of the third round, the top 60 professionals and the leading 20 teams return to St Andrews for the final round where the winners are determined.
Over the years, this has been a tournament most enjoyed by local players with 15 of the 22 winners to date all from England, Scotland or Ireland.
With a stacked field this week, could we get our 16th UK and Irish winner at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship or will an outsider take first prize? Here are our Alfred Dunhill Links Championship betting tips.

As amateurs are also taking on these three prestigious golf courses this week, they are going to be set up quite nicely which should mean very low scoring for professionals. Birdie scoring will be key as will performances on the par fours.
Tyrrell Hatton (Eight places) – 10/1
Tyrrell Hatton's presence at the tournament this week is a little controversial as he elected to leave the DP World Tour at the start of the year to play in LIV Golf. Hatton is one of 14 LIV players to be playing this week due to either being personally invited by the tournament organiser or appealing their DP World Tour sanctions.
Regardless of the issues surrounding Hatton's participation this week, the Englishman is no doubt a contender. This a tournament that he has excelled in over the years, winning it in 2016 and 2017 before finishing as the runner-up in 2018 and 2021.
As the format this week is so unique, previous success or at least experience at the event feels important and nobody in the field is better equipped in that regard than Hatton.
Tommy Fleetwood (Eight places) – 11/1
Tommy Fleetwood has never won an event on the PGA Tour and with each year that goes by, that monkey gets more and more difficult for him to shake off his back. As a result, he will be glad to now be back playing on the DP World Tour for a couple of months.
Fleetwood is a seven-time winner on the DP World Tour and is regarded as one of the most accomplished links golfers on the planet so it's anticipated that he will fare well across the three links courses this weekend.
Fleetwood has finished as the runner-up at the event twice before while his par four record this season is good, averaging 3.99 on the PGA Tour.
Alex Noren (Eight places) – 22/1
Alex Noren is one of the most successful Scandinavian players in DP World Tour history with ten wins to his name over the course of his career. Noren may now be 42-year-old but he is enjoying a good year on both the DP World Tour and PGA Tour.
In recent months, he has five top-30 finishes in his last six appearances and has excelled on links courses in the UK. At the Open, he finished in a tie for 13th while at the Scottish Open a week earlier, he finished in a tie for 10th so his form on these types of courses is very good.
What's more, Noren leads the way on the DP World Tour for par four scoring, a metric that will be important to watch this week. He is averaging 3.91 on par fours, better than anyone else in Europe this season.
