THE superb complex that is Pebble Beach hosts the AT&T Pro-Am. The tournament is played over three courses, the magnificent Peeble Beach itself, Spyglass Hill and Monterey Peninsula.
Playing Peeble Beach twice means greens in regulation (GIR) will be important and as with the other two you’ll need to be hot with the putter so GIR and putting average are the stats to look at.
Justin Rose has been struggling with back problems and has only played alternate weeks this year but has two top fives to show for it. He finished second at the Sony Open in Hawaii and followed that up two weeks later with T4 at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. Last year he was T6 here and with GIR of 77.08% and putting average of 1.724 I fancy him for a good finish this weekend.
One man who caught the eye in the second half of last year and this season is Spaniard Jon Rahm. He followed up winning the Farmers two weeks ago with a creditable T16 at Phoenix last week. The 22-year-old is making his tournament debut here but I don’t think that will affect him. Rahm has GIR stat of 73.38% and putting average of 1.606 so looks like he will be one to watch this weekend and probably the rest of the year.
Two-time winner of this tournament, Brandt Snedeker missed the cut at the Sony Open in mid-January but he was the 54 hole leader at the Farmers two weeks ago and was showing a return to form. His GIR is 73.02% and putting average 1.627. When he won here in 2015 he finished with a tournament record of -22. A return to that kind of form will have him fighting it out on Sunday.

Hi Lee, thought of Hideki myself and deliberately didn’t tip him because i seem to be picking him every week. However did have a small wager on him and I am hoping he doesn’t burn out before the Masters as he is my first pick for Augusta.
Dustin Johnston is a good pick besided 8-1 was a bit mean so left him off selections. Anyway good luck on your selections.
come on the big john rahm and dean burmester keep it going on the last round.
also had a late bet on alexander levy 10/1
