OKC Thunder to win
Since this is a duel between two top seeds in the Western Conference, separated by just one win, it's not a surprise that the bookies expect a close contest, but I feel that we'll see a confident win for the Thunder tonight.
The Warriors have struggled a bit lately, losing three of their last five games. Meanwhile, the Thunder have Isaiah Hartenstein back from injury and that solves a huge problem for them under the basket where they're already missing Chet Holmgren. The Warriors have won the first H2H meeting this season duel, but OKC could be in for revenge tonight, so the Thunder to win on moneyline is the first of my Warriors vs Thunder picks.
Isaiah Hartenstein to record a double-double
As I mentioned above, Hartenstein is back after missing the start of the season with an injury and due to Holmgren's injury, he's been thrusted into the starting lineup immediately. That proved very helpful for the Thunder, who won their last two games since he returned.
Not only that, but Isaiah Hartenstein has recorded a double-double in both of those games and I can see that happening against the Warriors as well, which is the second of my Warriors vs Thunder tips for tonight.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to score 30+ points
The last of my Warriors vs Thunder picks is for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to score at last 30 points. Ever since Holmgren go injured, Gilgeous-Alexander had to carry even more responsibility on the offensive end for the Thunder, even though OKC are a deep team. Because of this, SGA has score at least 30 points in three of his last four games.
After all, Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 29.2 points per game this season, so in most matches, he's scoring 30+ points or coming very close to this number.
Warriors vs Thunder preview – teams news, injuries, and predicted lineups
Golden State Warriors preview and latest news
While the Warriors are currently the second seed in the West and have only lost five games so far, they enter their next game on the back of two losses in a row and three losses in the last five games. So, it seems that the Warriors are slowing down a bit, but they can turn the tide once again if they can beat the Thunder to tie them for the top seed in the conference.
When it comes to team news, Steph Curry is listed as a game-time decision tonight with a knee soreness, but that didn't stop him from playing in the last game and I don't see him missing this game either. Jonathan Kuminga is also listed as a game-time decision, while De'Anthony Melton is out for the season.
The Warriors enter this game with a 12-5 record.
Warriors starting lineup: Curry, Waters III, Wiggins, Green, Jackson-Davis
OKC Thunder preview and latest news
After two narrow losses against the Spurs and the Mavs, the Oklahoma City Thunder immediately got back to winning, beating the Blazers and the Kings in their last two games, thanks to which they managed to keep the top seed in the West for now.
Oklahoma City remain without a few injured players, most notable of which are Chet Holmgren, Alex Caruso, and Jaylin Williams.
The Thunder enter this match with an 13-4 record.
Thunder starting lineup: Gilgeous-Alexander, Wallace, Dort, Williams, Hartenstein
