The Championship is where it's at on Friday night and we should be in for a cracker in front of the Sky Sports cameras at Turf Moor between Burnley and West Bromwich Albion.
West Brom have been brilliant under Carlos Corberán who has utterly transformed their season. The Baggies were bottom of the table after the Spaniard's first match in charge but a sensational run of nine wins in ten games has seen them race up the table and into the play-off places. A win tonight could take them third!
But this will be their toughest test to date, away to Championship leaders Burnley, who themselves have been in terrific form.
Like Corberán, Vincent Kompany has revolutionised the Clarets following their relegation from the Premier League last season. Educated at the Guardiola school of football, the Belgian has stamped his own possession-based style of football on the club and it's paid dividends big time.
Just two league defeats all season has put the Turf Moor side in pole position for an immediate return to the top flight. They're five points clear at the top and 16 points ahead of the pack that occupy the play-off places.
They've been almost faultless at home where they're unbeaten in 14, taking 34 points from a possible 42 so this is a massive test for the visitors.
As you'd expect, the league leaders are favourites at home, priced up at 11/10 for the win while West Brom are 11/4. Burnley's home form allied to their superior goalscoring record would suggest that they might prove too strong for the in-form West Brom.
On the goals front the Baggies have scored 10 in their last three outings but seven of those have come in their two FA Cup matches against national League side Chesterfield. Prior to that it was three in their previous four.
Two of the last three meetings have been goalless with just six goals scored in the last five meetings so it could be a low-scorer. With both sides out to protect their good run of form a stalemate at half-time has some appeal at 13/8.
In tonight's other game from the Championship, second-placed Sheffield United host Hull City who having been proving hard to beat recently. The Tigers are unbeaten in six (DWWDDD) but the Blades are flying, especially at home and should land the spoils at 8/13.
In Germany, it's 3rd v 1st in the table and it should provide plenty of goals. The last five meetings between RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich have produced 25 goals (3-3, 0-1, 1-4, 3-2, 3-5). Over 2.5 is only 2/5 but it's 11/10 for there to be two or more goals in the first half.

The best sportsperson from these shores ANDY MURRAY 🎾 My friend said this yesterday I cannot think of anyone who comes close to him.
Agreed, Gareth Bale surely comes close though no?
Bale should and could have been much better lack of desire and appetite.
Murray with a metal hip is on another level.
Thats a big call with the likes of cyclists Jason Kenny and Chris Hoy .
I always thought Murray was a right cretin years ago but he’s grown on me…don’t like the guy too much but his focus on his own discpline and sport is damn impressive! Think his mother put me off him more.
I was surprised to hear all of the Bale stuff in recent weeks to be honest, I like him and a great player who had the balls to move around plus he contributed to a number of huge team accolades so I get that.
A sporting great though and best from these shores..not sure really and probably needs its own thread 🤔😂
For me, the best sporting idols transcend their own sport and influence a wider positive agenda…few and far between though…folk like Muhamed Ali.
From our shores, I’ll stick my neck out and go for Joe Calzaghe – contentious but if you follow your boxing , you’ll know.
Couldn’t pick my nose yesterday so im hoping today is better.

Bale isn’t even the best football player from these shores, so shouldn’t be mentioned in the same breath as our great Olympians.
Andy Murray the GOAT, tho. To compete at such a high level, in an era dominated by the 3 greatest players of all time, and to come back after a serious injury at that age, and play at a high level again, with a metal hip. Just ridiculous.
Adam peaty the swimmer gets my vote as greatest current British sportsman.
Unbeaten in long course global events 50 and 100 metres since 2014, too many titles to name, won everything.
Ed moses the 400 metre hurdler is the only athlete who springs to mind to have dominated an even over such a long time .
And swimming is an unforgiving sport, you have to be on your game every time you compete when you take into account his events only last about 60 seconds, you can’t have an off day.

Afternoon gents,
Decent night with the Nap and Nb landing courtesy of a goals-fest in Manchester 😀
Well done all winners!
I’m staying local tonight as a slightly resurgent Tigers take a short trip down to Sheffield to fend of the in-form Blades…
SHEFF UTD VS. HULL CITY (7.45pm)
Not the biggest of Yorkshire derbies but there has always been needle between these two – I don’t wonder if that might come to the fore and, whilst I don’t see many goals, I can see a few cards and a decent corner count:
OVER 10.5 CORNERS
(1/1, bet365) NAP ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
OVER 4.5 CARDS
(5/4, bet365) NB ⭐️⭐️
BOTH TEAMS AWARDED A PENALTY
(16/1, betfair) LONGSHOT ⭐️
Best of luck!
Both teams to take a pen is 45/1 with Hills . Shaker
Nice spot Cocker – pays to look around pal 👍
Hull, Macca,Elvis, Admin or anyone, what do you think of Man city at 11/10 for the title? Considering a decent bet and just wanted advice. I dont mind having to wait for win. If they win against Wolverhampton they will be only 2 behind then Arsenal have seen tough game
Thanks
Honestly, trying to pick a course with the EPL is madness…look at the peak and troughs of City, Liverpool, Utd, Arsenal , Chelsea etc over a two year spell.
City could gun the last few months but they can’t defend so for that reason alone, I’d steer clear 👍
City all the way for me.
If Arsenal was to pick up an injury to one of their key players say Partey for instance then they are a different team. City have the experience and they also have a massive squad. big advantage imo.

No NAP last night and my only bet was a loser in Brazil
No NAP today either, don’t know enough about the Mexican 3rd tier to NAP anything to he honest 😆 going with this mexican game for interest with 2 teams, especially the away team who revel in conceding goals but net necessarily scoring them

Halcones de Zapopan (cd zap) v Mexicali FC
21:00
Mexican Liga Premier A
Mexicali to score 4-5 (HILLS) main bet.
BTTS and over 2.5 goals 5-4 (HILLS)
BTTS and over 3.5 goals 9-4 (BETWAY bet builder)
Mexicali are totally crap but have just won their first game since they appeared on the scene this season and conceding 2+ goals is their speciality.
They have conceded 2+ in 11 of their 12 games.
The home team cd zap have conceded in 17 of their last 19, the other 2 were 0-0.
** They have also conceded in their last 14 home games **
Reverse fixture in September
Mexicali 1 halcones de zapopan 2
Prediction 3-1

Ps
Anyone know what standard of football this is???
Can’t find any footage on the web…..
The home sides stadium apparently holds 1700 so seems pretty low level Elvis lol
Team I follow Bangor 1876 (a phoenix club from Bangor city) play in a stadium that holds less than 1000, and yes, we are in rubbish Welsh tier 3 football😆
But we will be back in Welsh premier soon I hope, if only for my sanity.
It was a Nap and NB double stake Elvis
Yes you are correct love.
Heads up my Arse at the moment 😞.
It lost anyhow, doesn’t make me feel any better.

Well done todays winners
Arsenal have to play city twice and I’d back city to win these one off games which changes things.
On the flip side arsenal have been beating teams they are expected to beat, some when not at their best which is a positive while city’s away form overall seems to throw up the odd quirky result.
Arsenal got man utd home on Sunday, if they win that and avoid defeat in the first man city match I don’t see them being stopped.
See how arsenal play in the first match after playing at home to city on February 15th.
Iits away to villa, that oddly could be a pivotal match, if they’ve lost to city can they recover and if they beat city or draw can they rubber stamp it by beating villa away.
Personally 11-10 to win a title halfway through a season when they are in effect 8 points behind with arsenals game in hand represents poor value.
Whatever happens with their squad average age quite young I see arsenal as being in the title conversation for the foreseeable future, they are being rewarded for not sacking arteta when the press and even fans were on his case last year.
🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
Talking of fans what a disgrace man city fans were last night booing their team off at half time.
Years of success and it didn’t take their Johnny come lately fans long to turn on the team after 2/3 poor performance by their standards.
Were the same fan’s booing at the end.?
At 2-0 down you need your fans to get behind you not boooo.
Their players don’t deserve fans like that ☹️
This post was a reply to TERRIER earlier.
Actually were booing the officials for not doing anything about the rash fouling on Rico Lewis
Just shows you what a few years of success does to you , ALL FANS DO THIS , but it just shows you how fast things can change , last season pool was close to winning everything this year they couldn’t win a 2 horse race , united were written off and are having a decent season , arsenal never had a chance , Newcastle shouldn’t be anywhere near , Chelsea struggling , Tottenham same old ,things can change within a year so all this crap about a project and needing years and years to mount a challenge is all rubbish……….
Unless you attended the the game you don’t know what the supporters are booing about🤷
Liverpool fans don’t boo their players,Man utd are having a decent season yet they are 3rd 8 points behind Arsenal, what’s decent about that???
Man Utd are having a decent season
Couldn’t qualify from the easiest Europa league group going so have to play a play off yet they are having a great season are you for real mate.
Liverpool qualified for the champions league knockouts in a tough group.
Sustained injury after injury.
Casemiro gets booked v Palace and Utd went to pieces there 4 day title challenge is over 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I said decent for a reason we wasn’t expected do to anything this season , yet we’ve put up a decent challenge SO FAR , what have Liverpool done you’ve got your best team in generations yet have won 1 title when we was at out best we won multiple titles not 1 mate…….
I forgot the seasons didn’t begin until 1992 🤣🤣🤣🤣
🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 and counting 🤣🤣🤣
I see love it ♥️ has had his say again.
My colleague was there and he told me they were clearly booing the team.
Practically every paper I read said they booed the team off but obviously you know better.
You obviously have a problem with me Mr troll.
Do you ever have anything positive or useful to say ?

Bit of needle indeed in Yorkshire!
8 yellows and 1 red brings the Nb in by a country mile…opted for corners for the Nap which fell short.
Mustn’t grumble – well done all winners!
Burnley playing some good football it’s hard to believe how much the team has changed and I bet their fans are loving it.
Only team that’s outplayed Sunderland this season. 2-0 up at half time and they blew us away second half. Benson looks a player.
This might sound silly but they have a Man City swagger about them and play some good football, never though i’d be saying that about Burnley lol
Vincent Kompany has got them playing just like his old club Manchester City, Losing at half time and winning at full time
