ENGLAND bring the curtain down on their Euro 2024 preparations with a Wembley friendly against Iceland tonight and will be looking for a convincing performance as much as another victory.
The Three Lions beat Bosnia 3-0 at St James' Park on Monday but that scoreline flattered them and only a handful of fringe players boosted their chances of featuring at the finals.
It looked like tonight's friendly with Iceland would be the final chance for some to win Gareth Southgate over but instead news of who will be binned from the squad heading to Germany broke well before tonight's midnight deadline.
That shows Southgate already has a vision of his strongest team and you'd imagine the England boss will field most of his main men in this final run-out before the tournament.

England's biggest problem heading to the Euros is a defence weakened by injuries but they still managed to keep a clean sheet against Bosnia.

Finland lost 4-2 to Portugal earlier in the week and might fancy their chances against a defence that hasn't looked convincing of late.
