Alternatively bookies could null and void the season and return all losing bets. Whatever happens – as I've said before – there will be winners and losers.
PSG weren't going to be caught while Lorient, just one point clear of Lens, have been awarded after the French used the points-per-game formula.
Lens will be promoted while Amiens and Toulouse will be relegated from Ligue 1 with play-offs scrapped. Toulouse and Lyon, who miss a Euro place, are among clubs threatening legala action before the decision is ratified.
The French are the first of the big five to settle everything and Spain will probably follow suit while England, Germany and Italy still hope to play to a finish.
