Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to Sweden, and there is one fixture in the second tier that appeals to me for goals.

Two clubs separated by two points and two places in the Swedish Superettan table meet at the Visma Arena on Saturday afternoon as 3rd-placed Östers play host to 5th-placed Jönköpings Södra in a fixture that appeals to me for goals at both ends.
Östers are the third-highest scorers in the Swedish second tier, scoring 28 goals across their opening 15 matches, with 13 (46%) of them coming in front of their supporters. Srdjan Tufegdzic’s hosts have made the net bulge in 13/15 (87%) of their league assignments this campaign – scoring two or more in nine (60%) of them – and will look to breach a J-Södra defence that has registered just two clean sheets and conceded 23 goals across their previous 14 league outings.
Jönköpings Södra are the joint-highest scorers in the Swedish second tier, scoring 29 goals across their opening 15 matches, with 13 (45%) of them coming on their travels. Andrés García’s visitors have found the back of the net in each of their previous 14 Superettan fixtures – scoring on multiple occasions in 10 (67%) of them – and will look to breach an Östers defence without a clean sheet in each of their last 12 league assignments, conceding 19 goals in that run.

Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals has banked in 11 of Jönköpings Södra’s previous 14 Superettan fixtures – and given the same has landed in eight of Östers’ last 10 league contests – I’m hoping we see a similar scoreline to the 2-3 we saw in the reverse fixture at the beginning of June.
