Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me focus on the match in the Premier League and I like the look of goals at both ends.
Manchester United vs Brighton & Hove Albion
??????? Premier League
⏰ Tuesday 15th February, 20:15
Manchester United will look to get back to winning ways, as they host Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford. The hosts are currently fifth, just one point behind West Ham, whilst the hosts are currently inside the top-half of the table, sitting in ninth.
For the second successive match, Manchester United went into half time with a one-goal advantage, only to go on and draw 1-1. Those two draws have meant The Red Devils are now unbeaten in each of their last five in the Premier League, as well as losing just one of their last 12. United have found the back of the net in all bar four of their 24 Premier League matches, including in 12 of their last 13. Ralf Rangnick’s side have struggled for clean sheets all season, keeping just five in the league, with just one of them coming in their last eight.
Brighton secured their second victory in 2022 last time out, as they won 0-2 away to relegation-threatened Watford. That extended their unbeaten run to seven matches in the league, with them losing just one of their last 11. Only one of the Seagull’s four defeats in the league this season have come away from home, with them unbeaten in their last six in their travels. Graham Potter’s side have scored in 17/23 in the league so far this term, including in each of their last seven. Albion have kept seven clean sheets so far this season, with six of them coming against sides in 14th position and below.
Bet of the Day
Manchester United can leap-frog West Ham into fourth with a win, but they’re a side you can’t back with much confidence. Ralf Rangnick’s side come into this winning just two of their last six in the league and face a Brighton side unbeaten in their last seven Premier League matches. Graham Potter’s side have only failed to score twice on their travels this season and I fancy them to get on the scoresheet against a United side that’s conceded in 19 of their 24 Premier League matches so far this term. The Red Devils have only failed to score four times though and with six of Brighton’s seven clean sheets coming against sides in 14th and below, I can see the hosts also getting on the scoresheet here, therefore I’m happy to back both teams to score, a selection that’s came up in each of the last three meetings between the sides at Old Trafford.
