Euro 2024 Bet of the day

Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Premier League match at Molineux, and I’ve come up with a bet builder featuring both goals and cards.

⚽️ Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Burnley

??????? Premier League

⏰ Tuesday 5th December, 19:30

Mid-table Wolves welcome 19th-placed Burnley to Molineux tomorrow evening in a fixture that appeals to me for goals and cards.

Gary O’Neil’s hosts have scored 19 goals across their opening 14 Premier League matches this term, with nine (47%) of them coming on home soil. Wanderers have made the net bulge in each of their previous 13 Premier League outings – scoring on multiple occasions in five of their last eight, including three of their previous four at home – and will be confident of breaching a Burnley defence who, prior to their 5-0 victory over bottom-side Sheffield United on Saturday, had failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their opening 13 Premier League matches this season, shipping multiple goals in 10 (77%) of them.

Vincent Kompany’s visitors have scored 15 goals across their opening 14 Premier League matches, with five (33%) of them coming on their travels. The Clarets have found the back of the net in 9/14 (64%) of their league outings this term – including in 6/8 (75%) of them against clubs positioned outside of the top seven – and will look to trouble a Wolves defence that has registered a solitary clean sheet in the Premier League this season, shipping multiple goals in four of their last five.

Bet of the Day

Wolves’ opening 14 fixtures in the Premier League this season are averaging 3.14 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in 10 (71%) of them – including in nine of their previous 11 – and given 10/14 (71%) of Burnley’s Premier League encounters have also featured three or more goals, including seven of their last eight – I’m happy to have a punt on there to be three or more goals, with the hosts to score at least one of them.

To nudge the price up on both selections, I’m happy to throw in both sides to pick up a card, a selection that has landed in 13/14 (93%) of Wolves’ league outings, whilst the same has clicked in 11 of Burnley’s previous 12, including in all six away from home.

  • Wolverhampton Wanderers to Score Over 0.5 Goals, Over 2.5 Goals & Both Teams Over 0.5 Cards
  • Pays 5/4 (Bet365 Bet Builder/Skybet BuildABet)
