Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Scottish Premiership, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for both goals and cards.

Both Motherwell and Hibs will look to keep their hopes of a top-six finish alive as they face off at Fir Park on Saturday afternoon in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Stuart Kettlewell’s hosts are the third-highest scorers in the Premiership behind the Old Firm, scoring 45 goals across their opening 32 matches, with 26 (58%) of them coming on home soil. The Steelmen have made the net bulge in 13/16 (81%) of their Premiership matches in front of their supporters – scoring on multiple occasions in seven (44%) of them – and will look to trouble a Hibees backline that has recorded just two clean sheets on their travels this season, shipping multiple goals in 10/15 (67%) of them.
Nick Montgomery’s visitors have scored 43 goals across their opening 32 matches in the Scottish top-flight this term, with 21 (49%) of them coming on their travels. The Hibees have found the back of the net in all bar two of their opening 15 league encounters on the road – scoring on multiple occasions in eight (53%) of them – and will be confident of breaching a Well defence that has registered a solitary clean sheet on home turf this season, conceding a league-high 27 goals.

Hibs’ opening 15 Scottish Premiership fixtures on their travels this campaign are averaging 3.27 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score banking in 11 (73%) of them – and given the same has landed in 12/16 (75%) of Motherwell’s Premiership matches at Fir Park, coupled up with both sides need for a win – I’m happy to have a punt on both of these sides finding the target in North Lanarkshire on Saturday afternoon, a selection that has landed in both previous meetings between the pair this campaign.
To nudge the price up, I’m happy to throw in both sides to pick up a card. This selection has landed in 14/16 (88%) of Motherwell’s Scottish Premiership fixtures at Fir Park this season, whilst the same has landed in all 15 (100%) of Hibs’ Premiership matches on the road this campaign.
