Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me begin in the Bundesliga and in particular a fixture that looks good for goals. Then it’s to Norway where the home side should be too strong for the team bottom of the league.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Borussia Dortmund

🇩🇪 Bundesliga

⏰ Saturday 11th September, 14:30

Bayer Leverkusen host Borussia Dortmund at the BayArena on Saturday afternoon. After three rounds, Bayer Leverkusen currently sit in 2nd, whereas Dortmund sit in 5th.

After beginning with a 1-1 draw away to Union Berlin, Leverkusen have won their last two games scoring four times on both occasions. Going back to last season, Leverkusen have now scored in their last nine Bundesliga matches at home. Clean sheets have been harder to come by though with that 4-0 win over Gladbach this season only their third clean sheet in their last 18 Bundesliga matches at home.

Dortmund recovered from their 2-1 defeat away to Freiburg with a dramatic 3-2 win over Hoffenheim in a game I correctly tipped for btts. In fact all three of Dortmund’s games this season have saw both sides score, with them scoring nine and conceding five. That goal away to Freiburg meant Dortmund have scored in their last 17 Bundesliga matches on their travels. However, Dortmund have conceded in 13 of their last 15 matches away from home in the Bundesliga.

Lillestrøm vs Brann

🇳🇴 Eliteserien

⏰ Saturday 11th September, 17:00

Lillestrøm host Brann on Saturday teatime at the Åråsen Stadion. The hosts currently lie in 3rd position and just three points off the top. Visitors Brann however currently sit rock bottom and five points from automatic safety.

Lillestrøm come into after securing back to back away wins against Haugesund (0-3) and Mjøndalen (1-2). Lillestrøm will be looking to keep up their strong home record which has seen them win five from eight, only failing to beat the top two and 6th placed Viking. Lillestrøm have won all three games at home to bottom half sides.

Brann come into this after suffering back to back 3-1 defeats away to Strømsgodset and at home to Haugesund. Brann have only collected ten points from their seventeen games this season with nine of those coming at home. Away from home, Brann have lost seven of their eight games, conceding 19 times and scoring only 6.

Bet of the Day

When Leverkusen meet Dortmund goals are very rarely in short supply and I’m predicting yet another entertaining encounter between the two. With bundles of attacking quality from both sides set to be on show, both sides should net here. Brann have had a woeful season so far and it looks to get even tougher on Saturday. They simply concede too many and with a horrendous away record, should be outdone by a Lillestrøm side who can temporarily go level on points with Bodø/Glimt at the top with a win.
