Euro 2024 Bet of the day

Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Scottish Premiership, and there’s one side in particular that appeals to me to make the net bulge at least twice.

⚽️ Aberdeen vs Kilmarnock

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Premiership

⏰ Saturday 8th April, 15:00

Aberdeen will look to maintain their battle for third spot in the Scottish Premiership table as they welcome away-day strugglers Kilmarnock to Pittodrie on Saturday afternoon.

Aberdeen extended their winning run in the Premiership to four matches, as they won 0-1 away at St Johnstone last weekend. Whilst that was just Aberdeen’s fourth victory away from home this season, they’ve performed far better at home, with Barry’s Robson’s side collecting 31 points from a possible 45 (W10-D1-L4) – with two of those defeats coming against Celtic (1st) and Rangers (2nd). The Dons have failed to score just twice at home this season, with only Celtic (47) and Rangers (39) scoring more than their tally of 34.

Kilmarnock claimed just their second victory in 11 Premiership matches, as they came from behind to defeat Hearts 2-1. Whilst Killie have lost just three of their 15 league matches at home this term, it’s a completely different story away from home, with Derek McInnes’s visitors still yet to win on their travels, losing 13 of their 15 Premiership matches away from home. Killie have recorded a solitary clean sheet on their travels this season, with only their upcoming opponents Aberdeen (38) conceding more goals away from home than their tally of 32.

Bet of the Day

The Dons have found the back of the net in 13/15 of their home Premiership fixtures this season, scoring 34 goals. What’s more, Barry Robson’s hosts have bagged on multiple occasions in 10 (67%) of those – including in a 4-1 victory over Kilmarnock at Pittodrie at the start of last October – and I’m happy to back them to bag another double against a Killie defence that has conceded at least twice in each of their previous eight Premiership matches on the road.

  • Aberdeen to Score 2+
  • Pays 10/11 (William Hill)
