Football Bet of the Day: Cambuur to Continue to Entertain on Friday Night

After seeing our winning run end at eight in Türkiye on Wednesday, Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the goal-laden Dutch second tier, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Playoff-chasing Cambuur welcome mid-table MVV to the Cambuurstadion on Friday night in a fixture that screams out goals to me.

Henk de Jong’s hosts are the leading scorers in the Dutch second tier, slamming in 46 goals across their opening 20 matches, with 21 (46%) of them coming in front of their supporters. The Leeuwarden-based club have made the net bulge in all 20 (100%) of their league outings – scoring on multiple occasions in 14 (70%) of them – and will be confident of maintaining their run of finding the back of the net against an MVV defence that has recorded just three shutouts in the league this season, with two (67%) of them coming against rock-bottom TOP Oss.

Maurice Verberne’s visitors have scored 29 across their opening 20 fixtures in the Dutch second tier this term, with 16 (55%) of them coming on their travels. The Maastricht-based club have made the net bulge in 17/20 (85%) of their league contests – striking on multiple occasions in 6/10 (60%) of their road trips – and they will be confident of finding the target against a Cambuur defence that’s registered a solitary clean sheet this season, with only three sides conceding more than their tally of 39.
