After falling a goal short in Finland on Thursday, Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Irish second tier, and I’ve highlighted one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals at both ends.

Two clubs separated only by three points in the Irish First Division table meet at Carlisle Grounds on Friday night as fourth-placed Bray Wanderers entertain third-placed UCD in a fixture that appeals to me for goals at both ends.
Ian Ryan’s hosts are the joint second-highest scorers in the Irish First Division, slamming in 40 goals across their opening 26 matches, with 23 (58%) of them coming on home soil.
The Seagulls have found the back of the net in all bar one of their opening 13 league outings in front of their supporters – notching on multiple occasions in seven (54%) of them – and will look to breach a UCD defence that’s recorded only two clean sheets on their travels this season.
William O’Connor’s visitors have scored 36 goals across their opening 26 matches in the Irish second tier this campaign, with a joint league-high 21 (58%) of them coming on their travels.
The Students have found the back of the net in 11/11 (100%) of their away matches when excluding trips to runaway league leaders Cork City – striking on multiple occasions in nine (82%) of them – and will look to get on the scoresheet once again on their travels against a Bray backline that has kept just four clean sheets at home this season.

UCD’s opening 26 matches in the Irish second tier are averaging 2.46 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score banking in 18 (69%) of them.
Those numbers creep up on their travels, with their opening 13 road trips averaging 2.69 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score paying out in 10/13 (77%) of them, including in 10/11 (91%) when excluding trips to runaway league leaders Cork City – and given the same has landed in 8/13 (62%) of Bray’s league contests on home soil – I’m happy to have a punt on both to find the target – a selection that also landed when these sides last faced off at this venue on the opening day of the season.
