After seeing returning to winning ways at Huddersfield on Friday, Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Italian Serie A, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Milan will look to strengthen their position in 2nd spot in the Serie A table as they travel to the Artemio Franchi to take on 8th-placed Fiorentina in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.

La Viola have found the back of the net in 11/14 (79%) of their Serie A contests in front of their supporters – scoring on multiple occasions in nine (64%) of them – and will look to trouble a Milan defence that has registered just three clean sheets across their previous 13 Serie A encounters on the road, shipping multiple goals in eight (62%) of them.
Stefano Pioli’s visitors are the joint-second-highest scorers in Serie A, slamming in 55 goals across their opening 29 matches, with 32 (58%) of them coming on their travels. The Rossoneri have found the back of the net in each of their opening 15 road trips in the Italian top flight this season – scoring on multiple occasions in 12 (80%) of them – and will be confident of continuing their fine goal-scoring record away from home against a Fiorentina defence that has kept just four clean sheets at home in Serie A this term, with three (75%) of those coming against teams currently positioned in 15th and below.

Milan’s opening 15 Serie A fixtures on the road this campaign are averaging an eye-catching 3.80 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in 12 of their previous 14 – and given the same has landed in 9/14 (64%) of Fiorentina’s Serie A contests on home soil – I’m happy to have a punt on there being a minimum of three strikes in Florence between these two sides on Saturday night.
