Rayo Vallecano vs Real Oviedo (Wednesday, 18:00)
Both looking to get back to winning ways in La Liga, Rayo Vallecano lock horns with Real Oviedo on Wednesday evening.
The hosts are currently riding a three-match unbeaten streak, although they’ve drawn their last two league games.
What’s more, Vallecano still find themselves deep in the relegation scrap, sitting 15th, just three points above the drop zone.
Real Oviedo, meanwhile, are propping up the table, yet there are signs of life despite a 1-0 home defeat to Atletico Madrid at the weekend.
That spark has been particularly evident in Oviedo’s recent away fixtures, with both teams scoring in three of their last four Spanish top-flight road trips, including a thrilling 3-3 draw at Real Sociedad.
Add to that the fact that both teams have scored in seven of Rayo Vallecano’s 12 La Liga home games this season, and a repeat looks worth siding with at the Estadio de Vallecas.
Luzern vs Young Boys (Wednesday, 19:30)
Young Boys will be targeting back-to-back wins in the Swiss Super League for the first time since November when they travel to Luzern on Wednesday night.
The Bern-based club have fallen well below expectations this season and currently find themselves treading water in mid-table.
Luzern occupy a similar league position, though they are six points behind their visitors.
With no real jeopardy riding on this clash, both teams can approach it with a relaxed attitude, which should make for an entertaining encounter.
That has been a recurring theme in the Swiss top-flight this season as far as Luzern are concerned, with both teams scoring in a league-high 21 of their 28 matches, including 12 of their 13 home fixtures.
The fact that both teams have found the back of the net in 11 of Young Boys’ 14 league games away from home this season adds further weight to backing BTTS at the Swissporarena.
FC Zurich vs FC Lausanne (Wednesday, 19:30)
Two teams struggling for form face off in the Swiss Super League on Wednesday night as FC Zurich take on FC Lausanne.
Zurich suffered their fifth defeat in seven matches when they were brushed aside 3-0 away at Young Boys last time out.
Lausanne, meanwhile, are now without a win in seven league games after going down 2-1 at home to Basel at the weekend.
Notably, each of the visitors’ last seven matches has seen goals at both ends.
Now set to face FC Zurich, there is plenty of scope for that BTTS streak to continue at Letzigrund.
Both teams to score would have been the correct call in nine of the hosts’ 13 Swiss Super League home matches this season.
