View our expert’s Both Teams to Score tips from across Europe for this weekend’s action.
Our BTTS Acca tips are based on statistical analysis of recent performances.
NEC Nijmegen vs Ajax (Saturday, 19:00)
Ajax will aim to extend their winning streak in the Eredivisie to four matches when they travel to NEC Nijmegen this weekend.
The Amsterdam giants secured their most impressive result of the season so far with a 2–0 victory over rivals Feyenoord last time out.
While Ajax managed to keep a clean sheet in that win, defensive solidity has been harder to come by on their travels this season.
Both teams have scored in each of the capital club’s seven away league fixtures so far, highlighting a recurring trend.
That pattern could continue against an NEC Nijmegen side who have also proven reliable from a BTTS perspective this campaign.
In fact, both teams have found the net in a joint league-high 10 of the hosts’ 12 Eredivisie matches this season.
Villarreal vs Barcelona (Sunday, 15:15)
Seeking to make it eight La Liga wins in succession, Barcelona will lock horns with Villarreal at the Estadio de la Cerámica on Sunday afternoon.
Hansi Flick’s league leaders continued their impressive run of form with a professional 2–0 victory over Osasuna last weekend.
However, Barcelona can expect a stern test of their La Liga title credentials against an in-form Villarreal side.
Marcelino’s men are currently enjoying a six-game winning streak, a run that has lifted them to third place in the table, eight points behind Barcelona but with two games in hand.
The Catalan giants have been involved in a number of goal-heavy away fixtures this season, the most recent of which was a thrilling 5–3 win over Real Betis.
That result means both teams have scored in seven of Barcelona’s eight La Liga matches on the road this season, so all signs point towards a repeat during Sunday’s contest in Castellon.
Genoa vs Atalanta (Sunday, 19:45)
Goals could be on the agenda when Genoa go up against Atalanta in Serie A on Sunday night.
The hosts saw their five-game unbeaten run in the Italian top flight come to an end with a 2–1 home defeat to Inter Milan last weekend.
Notably, that result marked the sixth successive Serie A match involving Genoa to feature goals at both ends.
They now prepare to host an attack-minded Atalanta side, making that BTTS theme one to follow again this weekend.
The Bergamo-based club returned to winning ways last Saturday with a 2–1 victory over Cagliari.
As a result, both teams have found the net in 10 of Atalanta’s 15 Serie A matches this season.
