View our expert’s Both Teams to Score Tips for this week’s Champions League action.
Our BTTS Acca Tips are based on statistical analysis of recent performances.
Galatasaray vs Stuttgart (Tuesday, 17:45)
Seeking to make it back-to-back Champions League wins for the first time this season, Galatasaray host VfB Stuttgart in Istanbul on Tuesday evening.
After opening their campaign with consecutive defeats to Sporting and Barcelona, the Turkish giants claimed an impressive 4-2 win away at Lille last time out.
Those opening losses were high-scoring too, with Galatasaray beaten 3-1 in Portugal before going down 4-1 at home to Barcelona.
There is plenty of scope for that BTTS trend to continue against a Stuttgart side that have picked up seven points from their opening three Champions League matches.
Moreover, both teams have scored in two of the Reds’ three league-phase matches so far, and all the signs point towards a repeat at Ali Sami Yen.
Barcelona vs Aston Villa (Tuesday, 20:00)
There’s rarely any shortage of goalmouth action when Barcelona are involved, and their home game with Aston Villa on Tuesday night is unlikely to be any different.
Before a ball was kicked, Hansi Flick’s side were the bookies’ favourites to win a first European crown since 2015, and they underlined those credentials by thrashing Feyenoord 5-1 at home and Galatasaray 4-1 away.
However, the Catalan giants were brought back down to earth with a bump when they crashed to a 4-2 defeat away at PSG on matchday three.
Aston Villa have taken maximum points from each of their opening three Champions League matches, although Unai Emery’s side failed to keep a clean sheet in their wins over Club Brugge and Viking.
Barcelona should prove too strong at the Camp Nou, but the visitors are more than capable of contributing to the scoring with a consolation strike.
Villarreal vs PSG (Tuesday, 20:00)
Back both teams to score when Villarreal and PSG face off at the Estadio de la Ceramica on Tuesday night.
The reigning European champions have made a perfect start to their Champions League title defence, with Luis Enrique's side claiming maximum points from their opening three matches.
However, they have been far from watertight at the back, conceding in wins over Slovan Bratislava, Manchester City and Barcelona.
PSG wins alongside BTTS have also been a running theme in Ligue 1 of late, with this combination clicking in four of their last five outings in the French top flight.
Villarreal therefore look well placed to make their mark during this contest, as they did when losing 4-3 away at Liverpool on matchday two.
It’s also worth pointing out that the Yellow Submarine beat Napoli 3-1 at home and, before that, lost 3-2 away at Borussia Dortmund, adding further weight to the case for both teams to score.
