MAN CITY top the table on alphabetic order but that is likely to change today.

I expect City and Man United to win but it's Pep Guardiola's side who can streak clear by hitting several goals past Crystal Palace.

United face a tougher test at Southampton where Jose Mourinho will be happy to pick up any sort of success.

City are a best 2-13 at Unibet and I'm not backing that but if they score early it could be a rout.

Their last two league wins have been 5-0 against Liverpool and 6-0 at Watford and entertain a side without a goal or a point in five – and not even the arrival of new boss Roy Hodgson could change fortunes.

I like City -2 at 5-4 with betfair while they are 15-8 to score four or more goals.

Sergio Aguero hit a hat-trick at Vicarage Road and has banged in 14 in his last 17 Premier League encounters.

He and Gabriel Jesus have nine between them in three games and we could see another Hodgson head in his hands moment.

Aguero needs two to equal City's scoring record of 177 goals and is 12-5 at Paddy Power to get them today. To net first the Argentine is 5-2 at bet365 and hit a hat-trick it's 12-1 at Sky Bet.

While Palace have failed to net in five Southampton haven't scored in nine of their last 11 home matches.

Man United have six clean sheets in eight and tempt at 13-10 with betfair to keep another.

Just to win United are 3-4 at sportingbet and it seems fair enough even though I hate backing aways at odds on.

Stoke have beaten Arsenal and drawn with Manchester United at home but have a poor record against Chelsea.

With the Diego Costa saga at end with the news he'll join Atletico Madrid in January the Blues can get on with the task of keeping pace with the Manchester giants.

Again though the away is odds on with McBookie going a best 8-13 so look for an alternative and I like fit-again Eden Hazard to score at 9-5 with Paddy Power.

Elsewhere in the Premier League Spurs are also odds on at West Ham in the early game and while they should win let's go with Harry Kane to score at 11-13 with Unibet.

In the evening TV game I'm backing goals at Leicester v Liverpool. The Foxes won 2-0 when the sides met in the EFL Cup in midweek but the Reds were the more weakened side and should at least draw.

Both to score and over 2.5 goals looks the best bet and pays evens at Sky Bet.

Burnley should beat new boys Huddersfield at home and Everton can see off slow-starting Bournemouth.

In the Championship best bets are Preston at home to Millwall. Alex Neil's got his mojo back after being sacked by Norwich and his side have climbed to fourth on the back of a five-match unbeaten run.

Promoted Millwall are yet to win on the road and Preston look a decent bet at 21-20 with McBookie.

I also like Derby whose boss faces the Birmingham side who sacked him last season. City are again looking for a boss after parting company with Harry Redknapp after staring with four defeats.

Derby have been hit and miss but hammered Hull 5-0 in their last home game and should win here. They are 5-6 at McBookie.

In League One take Charlton to bounce back from defeats to Gillingham and Wigan by beating lowly Bury at home at a reasonable price of 4-5 with McBookie.

Best bets in League Two are Notts County who have won their last four matches to nil. They are 8-5 at Ladbrokes to beat Lincoln at home.
