ALL down the English card there are tough looking games to call, matches that could either way.
It's a minefield for punters but one side stands out. Portsmouth have found their feet in the Championship after a tough spell and have notched up four successive wins under Steve Cotterill.
Crucially, all have been achieved with the help of clean sheets and tonight Pompey can make it five in a row against a Scunthorpe side who have lost their last five on the road. Portsmouth are 8-13 with Betfred.
In League One and League Two only four teams are odds on with the bookies and that shows you how tough it is.
Southampton are a best 4-5 with Ladbrokes at Walsall and should win a tough encounter. The Saints thumped Swindon 4-1 at the weekend to stay in the hunt for an automatic promotion place and should have enough firepower to clock up another win.
Huddersfield are another side I like although they also have a difficult looking fixture at Hartlepool. The home side notched a decent 2-1 win at
Exeter at the weekend while Huddersfield made it four draws on the bounce as they conceded a 2-0 lead to a good Orient outfit.
Huddersfield are by no means banker material but I'm taking a chance at 6-4 with Stan James.
Recommendation
- Portsmouth (8-13, Betfred)
