Saturday's EFL programme presents three promising betting opportunities across the Championship and League One, with attacking form, expected goals and recent performances pointing towards an entertaining afternoon.
Our Championship selections take us to South Wales, where Swansea City face a West Ham United side scoring freely, and St Andrew's, where Birmingham City's impressive attacking numbers suggest another lively encounter against Queens Park Rangers.
In League One, Plymouth Argyle and Huddersfield Town bring together two teams creating plenty of chances, with their goalscoring potential and consistently high corner counts adding another dimension to our selection.
The underlying statistics offer plenty of encouragement across all three fixtures as we look to build on the attacking trends emerging in the early stages of the season.
Swansea vs West Ham
West Ham United have been the Championship's outstanding attacking force across their opening ten matches, scoring 29 goals and establishing a formidable record in front of goal. Saturday's visit to Swansea City presents an intriguing test against opponents who have also won four consecutive league fixtures.
Eight of West Ham's ten matches have produced at least three goals, with the visitors averaging 2.9 goals per game. Their underlying statistics are equally impressive, generating 2.43 expected goals (xG), 11.9 shots inside the box, 6.4 shots on target and 4.6 big chances per fixture.
Their recent performances include two six-goal displays across four matches, most recently dismantling Lincoln City 6-0 after generating 3.72 xG.
Swansea have built momentum of their own, beating Burnley, Lincoln City, Norwich City and Millwall in succession. They have scored eight goals during that winning sequence and will be confident of contributing against a West Ham defence that has shown vulnerabilities away from home.
The visitors concede an average of 1.4 goals per away fixture and allow opponents 1.85 xGA, despite their impressive attacking performances. Swansea's defensive record at home is stronger, with just two goals conceded in five matches. However, they have yet to encounter an attacking side producing opportunities at West Ham's current rate.
With West Ham's exceptional goalscoring record and Swansea carrying their own attacking threat, over 2.5 goals looks a worthwhile selection.

Birmingham City vs QPR
Seven of Birmingham City's opening ten Championship fixtures have produced at least three goals, and their recent attacking performances suggest that trend could continue when Queens Park Rangers visit St Andrew's on Saturday.
Birmingham have scored 17 goals this season, with their latest four fixtures including a 2-1 victory over Derby County, a 2-2 draw against Middlesbrough and an emphatic 4-0 success against Preston North End.
The underlying numbers provide further encouragement. Across those four matches, Birmingham have averaged 2.20 xG, seven shots on target and 3.75 big chances per game.
Their home fixtures have been particularly productive, producing an average of 3.6 goals. Birmingham have scored 2.2 per match at St Andrew's but also conceded 1.4, with four of their five home games exceeding 2.5 goals.
QPR arrive having scored eight times across their previous four matches, including four against Derby County. They have generated 1.83 xG per fixture during that period, suggesting they are capable of making their own contribution.
There is a contrasting trend in QPR's away results, with only two of five matches producing at least three goals. However, they have allowed opponents 1.49 xGA per away fixture, which should offer Birmingham opportunities.
The hosts' strong attacking numbers, combined with their tendency to concede at home and QPR's recent improvement in front of goal, make goals an angle I am keen to back.

Plymouth Argyle vs Huddersfield Town
These two sides have been creating chances at an impressive rate, making Saturday's League One meeting an attractive candidate for a goals and corners combination.
The hosts have generated 2.23 xG, 12.75 shots inside the box, 6.75 shots on target and five big chances per match across their last four fixtures. That attacking output has translated into eight goals, including a 4-2 victory against Blackpool and a 2-1 success over AFC Wimbledon.
Huddersfield's recent performances have been equally encouraging. They average 2.40 xG and 5.25 big chances across their previous four matches, including 2.38 xG in a goalless draw against Mansfield Town and 2.95 in a 2-1 defeat to Bromley.
Their away attacking statistics are particularly impressive, with 2.22 xG, six shots on target and five big chances created per fixture.
The corners element is supported by an exceptionally consistent record from both teams. Plymouth's five home matches have averaged 10.8 corners, while Huddersfield's five away fixtures have averaged 10.2. All ten matches have produced at least seven corners.
Three of Plymouth's five home games and three of Huddersfield's five away fixtures have also exceeded 2.5 goals, meaning the combined selection has landed in six of those ten matches.
With both teams regularly creating high-quality opportunities and their home and away fixtures consistently generating corners, over 2.5 goals and over six corners appeals at 4/5.
