I WAS right about one thing – Lee's struggling to put up a long-shot winner.
However, I didn't expect to post two losers at my first two attempts on the bank builder.
All it proves is there are no certainties and it's a good reason to stick to level stakes. I only wanted a Reading goal but in general they were in short supply on Tuesday and the Royals couldn't manage one – even against 10 men for 45 minutes.
Lee put up a 10-1 losing double on Bolton v Birmingham but has lost just two points to my 13 so I'll need to be careful over the next few days.
Yesterday I challenged people to put up a winner at odds of over 10-1 and two people managed to do it. They were Luke who went for Ghana, Lazio and Dover at 10-1 and buick81 who chose draws at Sheffield Wednesday and Millwall at 11-1.
Instead of picking a winner at random I'm asking them both to predict the time of the first goal at Sheffield Utd-Spurs tonight. Closest to the correct time will win the £20 betting voucher – please post before kick-off time in minutes and seconds. If only one person posts a time he will be the winner.
Meanwhile, my day 3 Bank Builder is Juventus to win at Parma in the Italian Cup. It's a five-point so I don't go bust.
Lee is on Ivory Coast to beat Cameroon and Mali to see off Guinea in the African Nations Cup plus a draw at Sheffield Utd v Spurs.
