AFTER a single bet win last week, the table is beginning to shape up and with another five matches seeking out the value remains a tough endeavour writes @lockuptipster.

M Smith v P Wright

  • Head-to-head: Wright leads 12-6

Michael Smith has had the start he would have dreamt of and is a potential contender for a top four spot. He has the Darting acumen and growing confidence albeit his first defeat to Cross which consequently knocked off the top of the table last week when his four-match winning streak was ended. This week Bullyboy opens up against the underperforming Peter Wright.

Smith has won their only meeting this year and can overpower anyone with his big scoring. I certainly do not see Smith giving up the fight nor either losing by more than three legs and with Bwin and Sportingbet punting 8/15 on over 10.5 legs will double up nicely later in the feature.

S Whitlock v D Gurney

  • Gurney leads 11-2

Gurney has been scoring as well as anyone with only Gary Anderson having hit more maximums. Superchin’s let down has been his double conversion and it’s shown in the results. Doubles is really ‘doubles for dough’ in conclusion. Daryl takes on Simon Whitlock where the Wizard can and will punish Gurney if he misses his doubles., there are too many of those. Expect a tight contest as their Grand Prix Final was and anticipate another game going the distance.

M Suljovic v R Cross

  • Cross leads 4-1

Mensur Suljovic has made claims to not be discounted as making up the numbers in this competition being victorious in his last two matches.

Mensur can boast the best checkout percentage and behind only Michael van Gerwen in scoring averages.

Cross has won three in a row but still isn't at the top of his game still. However Suljovic has a good shot at a high checkout as the game should see a handful of chances to pass the 95.5 line at 5/6.

G Price v M Van Gerwen

  • Van Gerwen leads 12-0

Played 12, won 12 is the sort of stat that suggests only one outcome surely?

Gerwyn Price cannot get close to Michael van Gerwen though and to make matters worse Price has not seized the opportunities he has had to seal results.

Price is a grafter and all of his matches have gone to at least ten legs but will sit this one out.

R Van Barneveld v G Anderson

  • Anderson leads 21-17

Gary Anderson is on a 22-match unbeaten run following a winning double-header in the pro tour last weekend and is showing the sort of form which Raymond van Barneveld will find tough.

Barney isn't playing particularly well although last week saw a resurgent former five time champion.

Anderson to hit the most maximums for us if you can find 4/5 anywhere would be our call and see Anderson’s majestic rhythm seeing a fast paced game to close out the night.

Recommendations
