SO here we go again – Celtic v Astana in the Champions League qualifiers.

The reward is a place in the group stage and Brendan Rodgers will be banking on a repeat of last season's 3-2 aggregate victory.

Last-gasp hero Moussa Dembele misses out this time and Leigh Griffiths, who scored in both legs a year ago, will be hoping he is fit enough to make his mark.

Griffiths couldn't play 90 minutes against Partick but Rodgers doesn't have options so he is likely to start and is 16-5 at McBookie to score first. To net the Scotland striker is evens with William Hill.

Scott Sinclair hasn't fired this season and is 17-4 to net first and an alternative is James Forrest at 11-2.

Celtic are hot favourites at 4-11 with William Hill to qualify and 4-9 at McBookie to win tonight – and they'll be keen to take a lead to a tough and distant venue.

Astana are powerful at home but have won once away in 15 Euro trips as they struggle to cope with the time differences.

They lost 1-0 at Legia Warsaw in the previous round and last season were beaten on the road in the Europa League by APOEL Nicosia, Olympiakos and Young Boys.

Celtic haven't conceded in four ties against Linfield and Rosenborg and win to nil at evens with unibet would be the perfect result.

Astana will aim to keep it tight and a 1-0 or 2-0 home success is on the cards. Celtic to win 1-0 pays 5-1 with William Hill while 2-0 is 11-2 at Paddy Power.

I was going to write up some of the other games but you won't get better previews of Napoli v Nice and Istanbul v Sevilla than have been posted by welovebetting so check them out.

The verdict on the Istanbul match is it will be tough for Sevilla against a team without a home defeat in more than a year. Sevilla haven't started the season and have a new boss so will do well to avoid defeat. I like Istanbul draw no bet at 6-4 with Marathonbet and Manny Adebayor is worth a look as first scorer at 13-2 with McBookie.

Napoli are in the same position as Sevilla as they face a Nice side who have played five competitive games. However, after beating Ajax in the first leg of the qualifying round they drew away and haven't won since. Big guns Wylan Cyprien and Mario Balotelli are doubtful so the Italians are rightly favourites.

They shouldn't be as short as 3-10 though and best bet could be over 2.5 goals at 21-20 at McBookie.

I tipped Olympiakos to beat Rijeka yesterday and believe Hapoel Beer Sheva will take care of Maribor at home.

Recommended Bets

  • Griffiths to score first
  • Celtic to win to nil
  • Istanbul draw no bet
  • Napoli v Nice over 2.5 goals
  • Olympiakos/Hapoel Beer Sheva double
