Since joining Manchester United from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022, the jury has been out on Casemiro's quality. Acquired for £70 million at the age of 30, eyebrows were raised at the Brazilian's signing, but he has often shown glimpses of his quality. Casemiro now appears set to remain with the Red Devils, but his transfer saga is far from over.
Having struggled at times under Erik ten Hag, murmurs have arisen as to whether the appointment of new manager Ruben Amorim could mark a change for Casemiro at Old Trafford.
An error-strewn performance against Liverpool at the start of the season epitomised Casemiro's fall from grace since leaving Los Blancos, but he has picked up in recent weeks since ten Hag's dismissal.
Commanding performances against Leicester and PAOK under interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy have made it doubtful that the Brazilian will depart Old Trafford in January. Remaining at Manchester United now seems more likely than a move away.

Man United – 2/7
After struggling at the start of the season, the most likely result of Casemiro's potential transfer saga appears to be a continuation of his Old Trafford tenure. An improvement of his performances since the departure of Erik ten Hag have resulted in his odds to stay being cut to 2/7. This is, of course, not a good value bet, as there is always a chance of a last ditch move for the player, but remaining with the club seems the assumed outcome.
Casemiro has managed 16 appearances this season, notching three goals. His most recent strike came as an EFL Cup double in the club's 5-2 demolition of Leicester City. Whether his revival will continue under Ruben Amorim is another question, but the Brazilian appears poised to remain at Old Trafford at least until the end of the season.
Any Saudi Arabian team – 5/1
As the highest paid player at the club, it will be hard for any team to equate Casemiro's wage demands. The Brazilian takes home £350,000 per week, and so a Saudi Arabia transfer may be the only viable switch for the holding midfielder. Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly earns upwards of £3 million per week featuring for Al-Nassr, with Neymar the league's second highest earner on £1.64 million weekly.
At 32 years old, a large final payout may be an attractive offer for Casemiro, and could convince him to cut ties with the Red Devils. At 5/1, this option is certainly not out of the question and could be a good value pick. Currently, though, it still seems that a retention of Casemiro is imminent, given Ruben Amorim is yet to take over the club.
Any Turkish Super Lig team – 9/1
An outside chance would be for Casemiro to move to Turkey. The recent transfers of Victor Osimhen and Michy Batshuayi show that the league has begun to gain some traction for enticing top talent, and Casemiro could add to that tally.
However, it goes without saying that his wages will be hard to cover. It is highly unlikely that a Turkish team can directly challenge the financial power of the Saudi Pro League, and so a switch to the Turkish top flight would seem to be an improbable outcome at 9/1.
