A couple of selections for Tuesday night, with both of them at Ayr in their evening meeting.
Ayr 6:15
Iain Jardine seems to have found the key to TRICORN with the application of cheekpieces, as his last two runs have been much better than what we've been seeing since he left the John Gosden yard.
When he left John, he was transferred to the Ruth Carr stable. That stable in the last couple of years has really struggled for form, so it wasn't a surprise to see his rating drop from 100 to 68, gaining 0 wins whilst at that yard. However, at the small amount of time he's had at Iain Jardine's, he has managed to get him back into some kind of form, though it's at a lot lower level than what he has been at, it is still positive signs.
He's won his last two races in quite easy fashion, and as a result he has been raised 10lbs. The rise in the weights will obviously make this a harder task, but based on the recent runs, you'd like to think there is more to come. The form has worked out well, with the 2nd and 3rd winning since.
Ayr 7:45
TUKHOOM was a previously tipped up horse for us, and he was unlucky not to grab the win that day, so I'm siding with him again.
When I last put him up, he was racing over a mile, which is within his reach, but his best form over the years has come over shorter. Today, he races back over 7f on fast ground, which should be better suited, which was probably proven by the fact he was caught on the line. I think you can look past his most recent run where he travelled well, but was soon going backwards. That run was only 6 days after his close run at Ayr, and at the age of 8, that run was probably too soon for him. He's had a 14 day break, and should be ready to fire today.
Like I mentioned when he was last tipped up, he is owned by a shrewd outfit, who don't buy horses unless they think there is something they can do with them, so I wouldn't give up on him just yet. This isn't a crazily strong race, and it will probably be out of a select few, with Motawaazy being a strong contender based on his last couple of runs.

finally got a win under his belt LTO in what does look a very weak race. after such a dysmal run however, only nudged up 2lbs, carrying 11lbs less than last time, i will chance the trainer will make the most of his form and failing that, i’ve taken 7 places anyway so fingers crossed.
always dirty to see the winner being one you considered, 4th so no harm done. now +0.8 after -10 a few days back, onwards.

if you read this wall, you’ll see any of them can win, the price suggests my EW chancer must have been on the razz last night but I always played better after few the night before, anyway, picking two in a 5 runner race with such a plethora of racing is a bit silly, but i eradicated a big deficit and feel like a punt, BOL sirs.
last July, over CD, on this going, off 65 we just touched off STARS IN THE NIGHT, this horse has been out 6 times since, it won, had two duck eggs and then picked up again winning his next 3.
in September, we went in again off 71 over today’s ground/distance. there is little to be enthused about from his recent form, but this is racing afterall, although with only 5 runners, we are a RANK outsider with the rest between 2 and 5s.
HOWEVER, we do run off 61. MODULAR MAGIC is vying for favouritism, coming from a 200 day break and stable is quieter than earlier in the season. PAVERS PRIDE is well weighted, and also likes Ayr, also the combo had a winner yday, I got on board a couple of the trainers last month, I think I was a bit early to the party and he looks interesting to say the least. TANASOQ comes from J Goldie too, and he has TUMBLED MASSIVELY he has dropped 31lbs in a year, he was racing in C2s.. he must be more than capable but why wouldn’t Goldie utilise the 5lb claimer who wins for him to ensure he wins… also given he has been tried 5 times this season, I will sadly ignore. And finally, OH GREAT, MAJOR PUSEY you guessed it, well hcapped too. Going off 58, been 4 years since winning off 83, did manage a creditable 2nd over 5f on firm from SIX higher, which means he can’t be ruled out either.
