RICHARD JOHNSON drew a blank from nine rides at the Cheltenham festival but he should be among the winners back on bread and butter duty at Market Rasen on Sunday.
Trainer Olly Murphy saw his leading light Brewin'upastorm fail to complete at the festival but should enjoy better luck with DUNDRUM WOOD (3.25), a course winner in November. The gelding reappeared at Fakenham last month but failed to cope with Archie Watson's Premier D'Troice over today's longer trip. The front two pulled well clear and Dundrum Wood should be capable to defying top weight in this company. Chief market rival Who's The Boss is consistent but again lacked a change of gear when third to Miss Honey Ryder in a mares' maiden hurdle at Huntingdon last time.
Murphy and Johnson have several chances on the card but it is Aidan Coleman who retains the ride on Murphy's ALLAVINA (5.30) in the concluding bumper. Her third to Coquelicot on debut at Huntingdon in early February is looking a solid piece of form and Allavina is a worthy favourite. Interestingly, Johnson takes the mount on Irish raider Back On The Bridle for Shark Hanlon.
