PANKO (8.40) was so impressive at Goodwood last Friday that he looks booked for a return to the winner’s circle at Leicester this evening.
Alex Hales has clearly got his gelding back in tip-top form and Panko was value for even more than the six lengths he whipped Volpone Jelois. A 5lb penalty shouldn’t anchor him if the ground remains fast.
I fancied a few at York but there are some heavy showers forecast before and during racing which makes tipping a lottery. The Sky Bet Grand Cup Stakes over 1m 5f has attracted some useful sorts and Marmelo would be the one to benefit most if the heavens open. A weather watch is advised.
It looks a tough old day with the cards featuring several ultra-competitive Saturday handicaps (how the bookies love them). DARK INTENTION (4.05) is definitely one for an each-way punt. The mare ran third last year off a slightly lower mark and a third to Yeah Baby Yeah at last month’s Dante meeting confirmed her liking for the Knavesmire. Rain wouldn’t be a huge concern as she won an 18-runner handicap here last season on good to soft.
At Chester, it might be worth chancing SHUHOOD (2.40) over a couple of more fancied rivals as he ran a cracker at Epsom, despite almost boiling over in the preliminaries and overshooting the start.
He did well in the circumstances to finish third to Connect and Court House, racing down the middle on probably the slower strip of ground. His earlier clear-cut victory at Newmarket over 10 furlongs was impressive and the second, third and fourth horses have since boosted the form. There has to be a question-mark over stamina but that risk is factored into what looks a fairly generous price.
Trainer Ian Williams has decided that Shuhood will wear a hood this time and he may just have the legs of probable front-runner Austrian School, Berkshire Royal, Istanbul Sultan and Neverbeen To Paris.

Will be a watching brief for me plug, i have no idea why or how people can say they expect a horse to win when there are 11/12 horses in the race, granted it is a huge fav but ive come to realise nobody really knows what they are talking about. Bol.
Had a combined 50 on it by the off after s good day ahha, cheers 4 sharing plug, never really in any trouble.
Nice one ??
BOOM. I always, ALWAYS, kick myself following others, no disrespect, but it seems as if my gut picks are 2nd to absolutely no one. Today I am following them, thankfully due to not many tips on here. Filament of gold 14/1 winner, tricksy spirit 16s 2nd, above the rest 16s winner.
Above the Rest just won for me and the point of this post was to bring atte tion to Curtis, Barron and when riding in those silks, thry sre an EXCELLENT option and one to know about, cheers.
Where did you tip filament ?
And above the rest. Is there another racing bit onnhere anyone?
He didnt. He only tells us about winners after they have won which is pretty pointless
I didnt, these were gut picks based on following horses for nearly 5 years, having learned about which combinations to follow in certain races, something I feel is as important as anything when picking a winner.
The easiest way to win for me is to monitor betting and bet late, I didnt research any picks and thus didnt want to pass my gut feelings to people to potentially lose money.
Point of my post was to bring the white green and pinks silks under barron and curtis, something i believe to be more important , i highlighted Ed de giles and shephard recently, beckett esrly in his hot streak, i am not here to tip, i am here to try passon any nuggets i find helpful.
If u want to be in direct contact with me where i can pass on info seconds and minutes before the off whilst analysis the odds moving, then we can sort that, for free, i feel i have a pretty good feel for things,
@chosen1 i have used this site for years whilst learning the game, and i have out in more timr than almost all i bet, i am celebrsting following my instincts and being rewarded, let me have that thanks. Also, some stuff i say are things to keep in mind to help ur results.. no need for sarcasric bitterness.
Database my wife follows horses by the jockey colours that seems a crazy way to bet but if you win doing it fair play to you
I dont bet based on how pretty the silks are mate. There is method to my madness and I am only here to try and help others for free, chosen1, your ridicule isnt needed.
Whats your method for the picking colours? Guessing stat related owners at certain tracks?
I have been following horses for over 40 years and form is where you find winners i have found. 5 years you are just a novice
My dad is bigger than your dad, so what. Not denying I am a novice, Alan Hansen and Mark Lawrenson were on MOTD for what felt like 40 years yet they were terrible and out of touch compared to fresh new blood whom replaced them.
We are all here together, not against as I always say. If you 40have 40 years of experience start sharing your wisdom.
Queen rebab!!! the good day continues, 14/1, c d hayes and stack, a other good duo, sorry if it seems braggy to some, just celebrsting a great day of big winners for myself, we all must know the sickness of following horses so bringing some cheer to thread sorry if it bothers some.
