SINCE it was opened in 1983 the TPC Four Seasons has been remodelled twice, the last time by DA Weibring in 2008.
The 7166 yards, par 70, has tree-lined fairways and there are eight holes where water comes into play. It has never been a players' favourite, voted as one of the least popular courses on the Tour.
Looking at the course Driving Distance, GIR and Scrambling are probably going to be important.
Russell Henley’s form has gradually gone downhill since winning the Shell Houston Open in April but his game overall is not looking too bad.
He has been hitting a lot of rounds in the 60s but unfortunately the odd bad round is spoiling his overall scoring. When he won the Shell Open he was -20 and a T11 at the Masters which shows how good he can be. Wouldn’t surprise me if he won another tournament this year. Stats – DD: 298 yards (36th) GIR: 69.92% (T22) Scrambling: 60.33% (84th)
Smylie Kaufman has been having an up and down season, missing six cuts in row in March. Not winning since the Shriners in 2015 has he been at the top of the leaderboard.
In his last two outings he finished T5 at Wells Fargo and T12 at the Players last week and looks like he has found some form. Definitely worth a small wager. Stats – DD: 302 yards (17th) GIR: 63.96% (156th) Scrambling: 56.02% (171st)
Bud Cauley did not start the season too well but in his last three outings he has three top-10 finishes. He looks like one of the form horses at the moment and finished T4 here last year so form at the Four Seasons looks good. In his last outing at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans his T5 was partly due to a magnificent 61 in the last round. Stats – DD: 296 yards (T48) GIR: 66.91% (90th) Scrambling: 56.93% (156th)
Last but by no means least is Brooks Koepka. He’s another who started the season badly but after missing four cuts in six outings he had four top-11 finishes and then a T16 at the Players last week. Was runner-up here last year after losing in a play-off to Garcia and T16 the previous year, so form here good. Stats – DD: 305.5 (8th) GIR: 63.58% (166th) Scrambling: 55.93% (173rd).
