IT'S a huge night for Rangers at Ibrox as they attempt to make it to the group stages of the Champions League.

A 95th minute goal by Steven Davis put a different complexion on the tie last week when he halved Malmo's lead to make it 2-1 with just about the last kick of the ball. That means the Gers need to win by two goals to progress and of course have the potential advantage of an extra 30 minutes on their own turf if they're just one goal ahead after 90 minutes.

The bookies aren't taking any chances on a full house at Ibrox roaring Rangers over the line and have priced Steven Gerrard's side at 9/20 to win inside the 90 minutes and a slightly more palatable 3/4 to qualify. The Swedish champions are 1/1 to progress.

Extra-time is a distinct possibility now that the away goals rule has been eradicated. A one-goal win for Rangers will see that eventuality and can be backed at 13/5.

Gers fan Greg Maclean is in no doubt that Rangers will get the win they need as they feature as one half of his Bet of the Day Double.

Polish referee, Szymon Marciniak, often finds himsef centre of attention and the Ibrox crowd might get to him tonight. He consistently brandishes lots of cards, averaging 4+ in each of his last three seasons and dishing out 5 or more in 46% of last season's games.

5.0 cards in the Asian Handicap is 1.825 (money back if exactly five cards) at Bet365 or you can get 4/6 on there being 30+ Malmo card points.

Midtjylland face an uphill struggle to turn around their first leg defeat against PSV. The Danes trail 3-0 after being outclassed in Eindhoven and could be beaten again as they chase goals to get back in the tie. PSV can be backed at 19/20.

Slavia Prague are another side with work to do at home. A 2-0 defeat at Ferencvaros means they'll need to score three to qualify. They're as short as 2/5 to win the match but it's the Hungarians who are favourites to qualify at 1/2. If you fancy Slavia to win you might as well back them to qualify at 6/4.

In the Eruropa Conference League Rosenborg trounced Domzale 6-1 in the first leg in Trondheim and are generously priced at 4/5 to win again.

There are 27 Carabao Cup matches and eight Scottish Challenge Cup on Tuesday's fixture list – good luck if you're getting involved in those.

Team news will be crucial before placing your bets but the likes of Cardiff, Sheffield United & Queen's Park should be solid bets against lower ranked opposition. The Treble pays 163/100 at Bet365.

Iceland Nap and Nb went according to plan yesterday – Chilean picks not so but more than pleased with the Brasilian Night Owl which is done and dusted by h/t 😀

Night Owl II – Brasil 🇧🇷

    GRÊMIO VS. CHAPECOENSE (12.00am)

Not sure how many dancers are left on the floor but I’ll post this one up anyhow as it certainly has a few different angles and a great deal of interest if you are that way inclined with a penchant for two sides fighting it out at the foot of the Serie A table!

Phil Scolari’s appointment at Gremio has seen something of a slight improvement in form but it still looks dire – not as much as poor Chape’s form mind.

The hosts apparently have one eye on the Copa Do Brasil Cup semis now and I’m not sure whether this will be the the more obvious low scoring affair or draw (Monday night games tend to be) or if it’ll take the route that 4 of the most recent H2Hs have with a sh*tload of goals!

I’ve opted for a different angle and will combine a smaller number of goals with a potentially hefty corner count for a fairly confident shout and will add a 2nd, more speculative shout simply because it could trap at a very big price for the market:

    OVER 1.5 GOALS
    9+ CORNERS
    (1/1, skybet) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ✅

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE 1ST HALF
    (11/2, bet365) ⭐ ✅

Will add this one and a quick post but well worth a look from the Bolivian Clausara:

    BLOOMING VS. ROYAL PARI (1.00am)

    BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
    OVER 7.5 CORNERS
    (1/1, bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

    OVER 3.5 GOALS
    (5/4, bet365) ⭐⭐

    OVER 4.5 GOALS
    (3/1, bet365) ⭐

    Best of luck!

Slovan Bratislava v Lincoln Red Gimps
Lincoln Red Gimps to score at 4/5

    Legia Warsaw v Dinamo Zagreb
    Draw at 11/5

    One for Saturday
    Swansea v Sheffield United
    Swansea to win at 2/1
The bookies are pricing up Sheffield United as favourites simply because they have just been relegated from the Premier League. They got relegated but they didn’t have a Premier League squad and haven’t won a game of football in a long time.Sheffield Uniteds biggest problem is scoring goals they don’t score many and whilst Swansea have the same problem they will be difficult to beat at home and if they take a lead they should hold on to it.

Can’t believe it took a WHOLE 4 minutes for Chapecoense to score…🙃👍

Hi Folks. Not posted in a long time, but been hovering about taking a wee peek most days.
In fact, it’s been that long since I posted I couldn’t remember my login details, and had to register again. 👀
Hope everyone is keeping safe and healthy, and good to see the usual suspects are STILL giving the Bookies sleepless nights. 👍

Anyway, just noticed this one in Brazil at midnight, Serie A game featuring the bottom two sides Gremio v Chapecoense.
The visitors have failed to win a single game in 14 attempts, drawing 4 and losing 10.
However, they HAVE scored in 6 of their 7 road trips, including against top 3 sides Atletico MG, Palmeiras and Fortaleza, as well as current 5th and 6th placed Flamengo and Athletico PR.

So, with this is mind, as much as they’re cack and holding the table up, surely against second bottom Gremio, odds of Evens to find the back of the net is worth a punt?

Gremio No Clean Sheet EVs @bet365
    Good Luck…👍

Been a while as I’m mostly on antepost bets nowadays. Got a rugby tip. South Africa are World Champs, the Number 1 team in the world, & are now Lions Series winners! They’re top of the mountain & have achieved it all! Having said all that……I reckon Argentina can catch them cold ha ha. Before the Lions Series, the Springboks hadn’t played competitive rugby since they dominated the Poms & won the World Cup back in 2019. That makes their Series win over the Lions even more impressive but also means the physical demands are bound to catch up with them. Lots of changes as we’ve gotta give some players a break so you have to fancy the Pumas on the handicap. They’ll be fired up & wouldn’t be surprised if they win but I’m happy to take the points for sure. Argentina +11.5 (1.89). I’ll also jump on their first half total & then their total points when it comes out.

Also taking New Zealand to win the Rugby Championship (1.57).  Expected this to be way shorter. Famous last words….but this should be a banker! The Kiwis play most of their games at home with the Boks having to play 4 away games vs  Kiwis & Aus….not the fairest schedule but what can you do with Covid around. The Boks will also be exhausted from the Lions series & I dont expect Aus or Argentina to pose a major threat to the Kiwis.

Premier League tips: Main bet: Chris Wood & Ivan Toney top goal scorers for their clubs (2.09)
NB: Liverpool under 76 points (2.10)
Havertz more goals than Sancho (1.83). Mount more goals than Grealish (2.10). Aston Villa to finish in the top half (2.25). Burnley over 39 points (2.25). Season Match bet: Arsenal to beat Spuds (1.90). Longshots: Aston Villa top Midlands club (3.50). Brighton under 44 points (3.00). Bruno Fernandes top Man Utd goalscorer (2.50). Iheanacho top Leicester goalscorer (3.25). Antonio top West Ham goalscorer (2.75).

UFC in October. Treble main bet: Blachowcz, Chimaev, Yan (2.33) In November: Chandler to beat Gaethje (2.50)
    All with bet365. Enjoy

Struggling for time this week and won’t get a chance before kick off so dependent on line ups tonight.

    Rangers vs Malmö
    Red card @ 7/2

Balogun to be carded @ 13/8 (WHill)
Moisander to be carded @ 21/10 (WHill)
Rieks to be carded @ 3/1 (WHill)

Card prices again poor, but serious potential for either side to get a bit desperate or go over the top with a lot on the line and the first leg was tasty enough. Have a feeling balogun may start and good for a card if he does as he’ll be the one tasked with stopping breaks if playing a higher line. The other two from Malmö were booked last week and should see at least one of them picking up another yellow if they adopt the same tactics if playing against Scott Wright.

    Good luck all 🤞

    Hi
Has anyone done any bets with Bet(we make up our own rules anytime we like)365 on the Scotland Challenge Cup games.
I did a 7 fold over 2.5 MG they have just voided 4 games then I got a message followed by 3 others
“We have identified this fixture was listed incorrectly and as such in accordance with our rules the section has been made void” X4

I think the next time my acca goes down I’ll contact them and say in accordance with my rules (that I keep stored in my head) they should void my loosing selections and settle all winners.

“The world’s favourite online sports betting company.”

I think they can drop this from their site as it is very misleading – maybe trading standards should look into that.

1st leg Q/F of one of my favourite football tournaments, the Copa Libertadores, kicking off at 1.30am, between two Brazilian Seria A teams Sao Paulo and Palmeiras.
Bet365 odds always confuse me with games in the Americas, because they never seem to bare any relevance to the form, or league positions of the sides.
I know cup competitions are different, and this is a huge tournament, but the home side are sat one place above the drop zone, having won just one of their 7 home games, drawing 4 and losing the other 2, only managing 5 goals in the process.
Meanwhile, the visitors are currently sat second top, only 2 points behind the leaders, having won 4 on the road, scoring 10 goals from 7 away trips.

These two fought out a 0-0 in the league at the same venue just 10 days ago, and having watched that game, the word ‘fought’ being the operative word, with 6 yellows and one ref being dished out.
None of the bookies I regularly use are offering a cards market, but if yours does, I suggest taking a punt. 👍

Bet365 make Sao Paulo favourites @29/10 👀, whilst Palmeiras are 21/10.
However, I’m taking the shechtbag’s way out and going for a wee Evs Bet Builder of Palmeiras Double Chance, and to score Over 0 Goals, just because I’m 95% confident of it landing. 👍
