Leicester and Arsenal kick the weekend off at the King Power Stadium in today’s lunchtime kick-off and it should be an entertaining affair. Neither side are where they’d like to be at this stage of the season, floating around mid-table, but a win for either would take them up in to fifth, even if just for a couple of hours. […]

Friday nights often give some of the lower leagues the chance to shine and tonight it’s the Championship that takes centre stage with Nottingham Forest’s trip to Queen’s Park Rangers live on Sky Sports. Forest suffered their first defeat under Steve Cooper last weekend at the hands of Fulham, no disgrace in that, so they’ll be aiming to get things […]

Man City’s dream of a domestic is over for another season after their penalty shoot-out defeat to West Ham in the EFL Cup. That’s opened up the betting with Chelsea now favourites to lift the trophy at 11/4 and Liverpool close behind at 16/5. League One side Sunderland are the only team from outside the Premier League left in the […]

It’s a big night in the Scottish Premiership at the top and bottom of the table. The sad passing of Rangers legend Walter Smith, at the age of 73, will make for an emotionally charged evening at Ibrox where Aberdeen are the visitors. The Dons notched their first win in eleven when they beat Hibs at the weekend but they’ll […]

Well done The Bankies! A 1-1 draw with League Two side Elgin City earned Clydebank a Scottish Cup replay on Saturday and kept the dream alive. They didn’t quite manage to deliver the 11/2 Super Single winner for us but they did themselves proud and we’re sure Paul would’ve loved every second of it. He’d have been especially proud to […]

AS Super Sunday’s go this one looks very tasty! As well as the main course at Old Trafford between Manchester United and Liverpool there’s also a fine selection of equally mouthwatering matches across Europe. For starters there’s El Clasico from La Liga, where things are very tight at the top. The clash between Barcelona and Real Madrid may have lost […]

CHELSEA kick the weekend off with the visit of Norwich City to Stmaford Bridge but they’ll be without Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner so will need to look elsewhere for goals. Ben Chilwell could be the man to step up to the plate for the Blues again. The defender has scored in his last three Premier League matches and is […]

Arsenal got out of jail with a last-kick-of-the-ball equaliser against Crystal Palace on Monday night which kept their unbeaten run going, although only just. The dramatic leveller by Lacazette would have felt like a winner but it did little more than paper over some familiar cracks for the Gunners. Both they and tonight’s visitors Aston Villa find themselves in the […]

Pointless so far in the Europa League, Rangers have a great chance to get their European campaign off and running tonight at Ibrox. Danish champions Brondby are the visitors but they currently sit 6th in the Superliga having won just three of their opening 12 fixtures. A 0-0 draw with Sparta Prague earned them thier first point in Group A […]

So much for teams being goal-shy so far in the Champions League! Things went goal crazy on Tuesday night with a mammoth 35 goals scored across the eight games. Apologies to those who took yesterday’s advice not to back Skybet’s total goals special! It would’ve made for a handsome payday. On the plus side the Super Single won again as […]

IT’S a busy night across Europe and in England on Tuesday but it all kicks-off rather early in Glasgow, where Celtic welcome Ferencvaros for an unusual 3.30pm kick-off in the Europa League. Only a win will do for Ange Postecoglou’s men who have yet to pick up a point after defeats to Real Betis and Bayer Leverkusen. The Hungarians won […]

PATRICK Viera returns to Highbury on Monday night aiming to leapfrog his old club with a win. The Crystal Palace manager is a legend at Arsenal where he won three league titles and four FA Cups but that’ll all be forgotten about for 90 minutes as he seeks to pile the pressure on Gunners’ gaffer Mikel Arteta. The Spaniard has […]

Newcastle United joined football’s nouveau riche last week but it could take a while before they’re dining at soccer’s top table. JUST when it looked like the Championship might be turning into a two-horse race, Inverness and Killie crashed to defeat on the same weekend. That allowed the likes of Raith, Partick and surprise package Arbroath to close the gap and it will be interesting to see how the top two deal with the pressure today.
