Thursday's looking like another no-bet day on the football front but it gives us time to look ahead to the weekend.

In Scotland all the focus will be on Ibrox where Rangers host Celtic in Sunday's lunchtime kick-off. Home advantage, with only 700 Celtic fans present, gives Rangers the edge as far as the bookies are concerned. They make Giovanni Van Bronckhorst's side favourites at 11/8 but plenty of Hoops' fans will be tempted by the 2/1 on an away win.

There's plenty at stake elsewhere in the Premiership with seven teams vying for a top six finish. Aberdeen, who are currently 10th, face a trip to bottom side Dundee, then host Ross County next week. Two wins would almost certainly see them secure a top six finish which can be backed at 6/4 (Bet365).

In the Premier League Liverpool could go top for the first time since matchday 6, even if it's just for an hour or two, if they can beat Watford in the early kick-off. Man City would then need to respond with a win at battling Burnley.

Teams on the weekend shortlist so far include West Ham (4/5), Nottingham Forest (13/10), Aberdeen (21/20), and Airdrie (1/1). Let us know in the comments who's on your radar this weekend.

This weekend also signals the start of the season in Norway where Bodo/Glimt are aiming to win their third consecutive title. The Norwegian champions have impressed in Europe this season and are joint 9/4favs with Molde to win the 2022 Eliteserien.

The team at Gambla have been covering Norwegian football for a few seasons so are in a good position to preview the campaign ahead. Catch the podcast with Greg Browning, Selectabet and former footballer David Weatherston who now lives and works in Norway.

Home side have scored in all of their last 10 games, 20 goals in total, and need the points to avoid relegation as they’re 2 points and 1 place from the relegation zone.. the away side have scored in 8 of last 10, 17 goals in total, they’re 13-3-0 away this season and have scored in every away game since Sept 27th.. they’re second in the league but are four points behind, and this is the final game of the season, but should still score

    Afternoon gents,

More life in a tramp’s vest than tonight’s card – the only thing that catches my eye slightly is a bit of bump and Grind with those Nordic ladies…

    FJÖLNIR VS. GRINDAVÍK (8.30pm)

Plenty of goals in both sides games but not in recent H2H’s – I’m thinking Grindavik’s poor form (6 straight losses and 18 conceded) might just point to a Fjolnir goal fest!

    Low stakes stuff:

    OVER 4.5 GOALS
    (8/5, bet365) NAP ⭐️⭐️

    Best of luck!

    🇪🇨 Puerto Quito v Manta FC 🇺🇦
    21:30
    Ecuadorian Serie B

    Both teams to score 5-4 (NAP/NB) 🇪🇨
    Side bet
Btts and over 2.5 goals 12-5
    Both at HILLS.

Bottom 2 square off and neither seem to know where the old onion bag is.
Manta just relegated back to this league and head to head when they were in serie B last reads ok.
*** All 5 head to head here ended BTTS with 4 btts and overs ***

    Prediction 1-1 or 1-2
    🇪🇨🇺🇦🇪🇨🇧🇴🇪🇨

To help anyone else getting a bit confused, CD Puerto Quito is also apparently known as Atletico Santo Domingo (just like how West London United used to be called Chelsea 😉)
