Premier League handicap betting tips

Just one more sleep until Christmas. And in the Premier League, just one more match until Christmas.

Wolves and Chelsea serve up today’s Christmas Eve offering live on Sky Sports at 1pm with the hosts looking a little underestimated by the bookies.

11/4 feels like a big price for a team that’s already beaten Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur at home. That’s especially true against a Chelsea side that’s lost their last three on the road.

Wolves’ best work has been done at Molineux this season where 12 of their 19 points have been won – not bad considering 6 of their eight home games have been against sides in the top half of the table. In addition to those wins over City and Spurs they’ve drawn with Aston Villa and Newcastle so won’t fear anything the Blues have to offer today.

It’s hard to fathom how Chelsea are 10/11 to win this one. They’re only three points better off than Wolves and although they’ve plenty of talent in the squad they’re so unreliable that you couldn’t be backing them at those odds.

You’re getting 13/8 on Wolves in the draw no bet market if you want to keep the draw onside.

In Scotland, Rangers’ and Motherwell’s fortunes could hardly be more contrasting.

The Gers remain unbeaten after 15 games under Phillipe Clement, with their first trophy of the season in the bag and a place in the last 16 of the Europa League to look forward to in 2024.

Motherwell on the other hand are 15 without a win, second bottom of the table and with huge games to come before the end of the month at Aberdeen then at home to bottom side Livingston, Stuart Kettlewell needs to get his side back to winning ways.

On the plus side for Kettlewell his side have only lost two of the last seven although it’s taken equalisers in the 92nd, 97th and 90th minute to earn three of their five draws.

Motherwell haven’t won at Fir Park in this fixture since a famous 3-0 victory gave them a 6-1 aggregate win in the Premiership play-off in 2015. Since then it’s been nine defeats and three draws in 12 meetings.

Interestingly though, Motherwell have scored in the last six meetings in North Lanarkshire and it’s even money on Both Teams Scoring this afternoon.

Rangers will be desperate to keep the pressure on Celtic ahead of the New Year Derby net week. A Gers win and Over 2.5 Goals pays 10/11.

A lot has been made of Rangers’ penalty record in recent weeks. They’ve been awarded eight spot kicks in eight Premiership matches under Clement. It’s just 6/5 that David Dickinson points to the spot today.

A better bet could be to back penalty expert James Tavernier who has scored nine goals already this season. The Rangers captain is 15/8 to score.

Good morning all. Mixed fortunes yesterday with the football bet landing but let down in the boxing. Heading to Turkey today:

    Football ⚽️ Demirspor vs Antalyaspor

🌟 Tip – Double Chance Home Win and BTTS 21/20 Betway

Demirspor have been strong at Yeni Adana Stadyumu this season, securing six wins, one draw, and only one loss in eight Süper Lig contests. On the other hand, Antalyaspor has a mixed record away with two wins, two draws, and three losses in league play.

While the visitors have scored in nearly all of their away trips, they have shown vulnerability at the back. Additionally, 43% of Antalyaspor’s Süper Lig away games this season have witnessed both teams scoring before halftime. Only league leaders Fenerbahce have managed to keep a clean sheet at Adana Demirspor so far this season suggesting a likelihood for both teams to score hitting this afternoon.

    Good luck with your bets!

Morning gents and a Merry Christmas to all the site regulars and visitors – I hope everyone has a great time 🍻

I’m on a rubbish run of late so hoping I can pull a Christmas cracker instead of a turkey…speaking of which, that’s the destination of choice on a slim card:

    FENERBAHCE VS. GALATASARAY (4.00pm)

Both teams in decent form with the hosts notching up a significant number of goals in recent games whilst Galatasaray have the better of the recent bragging rights.

There’s an average of 5 or so cards over the 5 most recent meetings with a couple of reds thrown in so possibly a goals/card combo the way to go here:

    Both Teams to Score
    3+ Corners Each Team
    2+ Cards Each Team
    (11/8, paddypower) NAP ⭐️⭐️⭐️

And for anyone fancying a bonkers bet:

Both teams to miss a penalty
    (100/1, paddypower) LONGSHOT ⭐️

Best of luck with all bets!

The officiating in the Premier League is becoming a joke now, the sending off of Boly yesterday and the basketball played in the penalty area at Anfield no penalty given, people can see this as moaning but if Forest were to go down by a point and Liverpool were to lose the league by a point then these decisions can prove costly just like the Rodri handball at Goodison park a few years back which wasn’t given. If the League doesn’t buck their ideas up then in 3 years time the Prem will be gone, the bigger teams will move to better pastures.

It should’ve been given, 100%, but Liverpool had plenty of time thereafter to win it and they couldn’t, they’re just not good enough at the moment, whatever about Arsenal, if you can’t beat that United team at home then there’s no hope of winning the league for ye.. you’ll make CL next season at least

Football doesn’t work like that though does it, Liverpool won’t win the league but saying that neither will Arsenal they aren’t good enough. City will win it but that’s not the point. The point is the officiating. Managers are not allowed to say anything when the officiating is wrong, take the goal that should have been given at Spurs but wasn’t, there’s no excuse.

On the subject of winning the league fitzy, I and many other fans aren’t fickle enough to believe we can win the league this season we are a bit light in midfield for that. I actually tipped us not to finish in the top four and have been pleasantly surprised how quick our midfielders are gelling considering it’s brand new. I also tipped United not to finish in the top four and that looks solid enough.

I see Man City have been allowed to wear a badge on their shirts to show they are world champions. Liverpool were refused permission to do the same when they won it. City face 115 charges and get to do basically what they want. If anyone thinks that the Prem isn’t corrupt think again. Arab money rules.
