Sundays top tips 3

We've seen some cracking games so far in the Nations League finals and tonight's showpiece between Spain and Portugal also has the potential to be a thriller.

Spain's thrilling 5-4 win over France in the last four was one of the best games I've seen in years and the bookies now make them odds-on favourites to lift the trophy in Munich.

But the Portuguese have already upset the odds by knocking out hosts Germany and have the players to hurt a Spanish defence that looked creaky against Les Bleus on Thursday night.

Portugal vs Spain top betting tips

Luis de la Fuente's men are on a 19-game unbeaten run and are looking for more glory on Germany soil, having romped to the Euro 2024 crown last summer.

That's why BoyleSports price them at just 1/2 to lift the trophy night and 20/23 for a win inside 90 minutes. But this final could be closer than the bookies think, with Portugal looking overpriced at 6/4 to win the tournament.

In addition to conceding four times against France, Unai Simon had to make six saves as France created heaps of chances. Portugal have also had one day more to recover from their semi-final and boast plenty of talent in attack.

Winger Francisco Conciecao should start after scoring off the bench in the semis and he looks good at 11/10 with Bet365 just to have a shot on target.

It's hard to see Portugal's defence keeping out Spain's lively forwards too and we should see goals at both ends.

Wonderkid Lamine Yamal scored twice against France and is 7/4 at BoyleSports for another goal in the final. But I'm more drawn to the 11/4 on offer at Bet365 for an assist.

Germany vs France

Germany were hoping home advantage would help them lift the Nations League trophy for the first time but instead they've ended up in the third/fourth place play-off with France.

The absence of key players such as Jamal Musiala and Antonio Rudiger was telling as they let Portugal come from behind to claim to a 2-1 win in the semis.

Julian Nagelsmann now needs to rally his troops for a dead rubber in Stuttgart and I'd imagine both managers will make a few changes.

The French have more strength in depth so they could be worth a punt to come out on top at evens, with the odds increasing to 6/4 at BoyleSports for a win in 90 minutes.

Rayan Cherki could start after a goal and an assist off the bench against Spain. He's 11/10 at Bet365 to either score or assist this afternoon and that looks good value if the winger gets the nod.

This should be an open game and a double on keepers Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Mike Maignan each making over 2.5 saves pays 5/4 at Bet365. The odds are the same if back-up goalies Oliver Baumann or Brice Samba start so it may be worth waiting until the teams are named before placing that bet.

Georgia vs Cape Verde

It's slim pickings elsewhere today but there is a friendly between Georgia and Cape Verde in Kutasi as Willy Sagnol's men warm up for the World Cup qualifiers.

The Georgians kick off their World Cup bid with a tricky game against Turkey so it's hard to see what they will gain from summer friendlies against the Faroe Islands and Cape Verde.

The idea may have been to boost confidence by racking up a couple of big wins but they only squeezed past the Faroes on Thursday night with a single strike from Luka Lochoshvilli.

BoyleSports price them at just 8/15 for another victory against the islanders, who claimed a decent 2-1 World Cup qualifying win over Angola in their last outing.

I'd imagine Sagnol will want his players to put on more of a show in this friendly after Thursday's lacklustre display so Georgia could be worth a punt at -1 in the handicap, which pays 6/4 at BoyleSports.
