Arsenal look like the real deal this season but they face a big test of title mettle today when Manchester City come calling.
The Gunners have finished as runners-up in the last three Premier League seasons but now have a squad that looks capable of going all the way.
However, they're already lagging behind champions Liverpool after losing at Anfield and now host a City side who are capable of beating anyone on their day.
Arsenal vs Manchester City top betting tips
The Champions League fixture list has given Arsenal the advantage for this game as they were playing on Tuesday night while City had to wait until Thursday to face Napoli.
That extra 48 hours of rest could be crucial and BoyleSports make the Gunners 20/23 favourites, with Pep Guardiola's men as big as 3/1.
City lost 5-1 on their last visit to the Emirates but I'd be surprised if we saw another goalfest and it could be cagey like Arsenal's 1-0 loss at Anfield.
Mikel Arteta's side are always a big threat from set-pieces so I like the 5/2 on offer at BoyleSports for stopper Gabriel to have an effort on target.
Arsenal's defence has been rock solid but Erling Haaland is always worth backing when he's odds-against to do some damage.
The Norwegian has 12 goals from seven outings this season so looks good value at 6/5 with Bet365 for a goal or assist.
Sign up offer of the day: 40/1 on a goal to be scored in Arsenal vs Man City
AFC Bournemouth vs Newcastle
It will be interesting to see how Newcastle react to their draining Champions League defeat by Barcelona when they make the long trip south to take on Bournemouth.
Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Catalan giants would have taken a heavy emotional and physical toll on Eddie Howe's players.
Bournemouth certainly have enough talent in their attack to take advantage so they could be worth a punt at 11/8 with home advantage.
Antoine Semenyo's running power should cause problems for Newcastle's defence if they show any signs of fatigue.
The talented forward is 11/8 at Bet365 to score or assist and that looks decent value.
Sunderland vs Aston Villa
Aston Villa have made a dreadful start to the season and their midweek defeat on penalties to Brentford in the EFL Cup made it five games without a win.
It's strange seeing a side packed with so much talent performing so poorly, with Unai Emery's men scoring just once all season.
Sunderland have won both their home games this season and will fancy their chances of piling on the pain for Villa with the Stadium of Light bouncing.
But Villa's fortunes surely have to change soon so I'm going to back them for that first win at 23/20 with BoyleSports.
Sunderland midfielder Habib Diarra has two yellows for club and country this term so could be worth backing for a card at 10/3 with BoyleSports.
Partick Thistle v Celtic
The last Scottish League Cup quarter-final sees Celtic head across Glasgow today to take on Partick Thistle at Firhill.
The Jags famously beat the Hoops 4-1 in the 1971 final but they've only claimed three more wins in this fixture since then.
Mark Wilson's men have made a good start in the Championship and they face a Celtic side who have yet to hit top gear this term.
Brendan Rodgers will probably make a few changes ahead of their midweek trip to Belgrade to face Red Star.
Midfielder Arne Engels could get a start and he's on the penalties if he's playing. The Belgian is 13/8 for anytime scorer which may offer a bit of value.
Thistle should get stuck in and a double on defenders Paddy Reading and Lee Ashcroft going in the book pays 28/1.

Unders failed to land yesterday and I’ll admit I wasn’t to bothered as it’s another Derby win coming off the back of the Athletico Madrid game. On another note own goals are landing at a good rate if your not on them then you should be, I don’t think there is a better bet that yields as much profits as own goals.
Predictions for today macca ?
Will also be on goals in the Psg game tonight there should be plenty.
Arsenal v Man City
Arsenal to win at 10/11
Doubt Haaland will get a look in today he doesn’t do to well against decent defenders. A must win game for Arsenal as they won’t want to fall to far behind.
Best of luck
Scored in 4 of 6 league games against Arsenal so I’m sure he’ll be just fine against decent defenders. Rivalry sure does make some folks talk out their ronson lighter 😂
Didn’t look at his stats to be honest, I’m not a stat-whore although I know he scored here last season when they were mauled 5-1, he didn’t have a great game that day. No good going on stats when City were flying because they are pretty useless,
9mims too get a wee look in 👍🏻
Bournemouth v Newcastle
Sunderland v Aston Villa
Pen taken in both games just under 12/1 Ladbrokes boost
Also on 2 + cards each team in each game 7/2 Betvic .
Not to be LOSER
2 poor games to be honest
Gil Vicente Over 2.5 goals
Fenerbache Over 1.5 team goals
PSG to win
Treble pays 5/1 , 👍
I see United got a win yesterday deano, absolutely chuffed for them as it means Amorim stays a lot longer. What manager in their right mind takes off their main centre back every game.
Yep macca here sure does make some strange decisions , he changes centre back pairings every week which makes no sense at all , also not sure what he’s doing with sesko surely he needs a run of games to get some rhythm going but Amorim seems to either not start him or give him very limited minutes , can’t see him making it to the end of the season if I’m honest.
Longshot treble for me today
PSV v Ajax
BTTS & 2+ cards each 17/10
Arsenal v City
BTTS & 2+ cards each 23/10
Thistle v Celtic
Celtic 2+ gls
Celtic 3+ corners each half 7/5
20/1 treble
PSV- Ryan Flamingo to be carded 7/2
The Newcastle manager has rotated today after their champions league game, fully expect he will bring them on in the second half, so having a dabble on btts second half at 9/4.
Partick to get most cards versus Celtic. 13/10. Looks a total shoe in to me. Single and doubling with Arsenal to win and Arsenal most corners for a 9/1 shot.
