The Club World Cup has yet to explode into life but there's a blockbuster game tonight as Inter Miami take on Paris St-Germain.
Lionel Messi left Paris under a cloud so he will be desperate to prove a point as he battles his former club. But PSG have gone up a level since Messi and his fellow Galacticos moved on, with Luis Enrique's side finally getting their hands on the Champions League trophy.
Enrique was Messi's old boss at the Nou Camp and there's added spice tonight with fellow Barcelona old boys Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba also in the Inter Miami ranks.
Paris St-Germain vs Inter Miami top betting tips
Inter Miami have plenty of superstars in their team but they're all past their prime while PSG possess a young and vibrant squad who blew away the cream of Europe to rule the continent.
So it's no surprise to see Enrique's side as 1/14 hot favourites with BoyleSports to reach the quarter-finals, with the price only increasing to 2/11 for a win inside 90 minutes.
It's hard finding value with the French side such heavy favourites but backing them to win both halves pays 13/10 at BoyleSports.
Inter Miami star Busquets, now 36, has his work cut out against such a lively PSG midfield. He's 13/5 at BoyleSports to go into the book while Bet365 price him at a tempting 13/8 to commit over 1.5 fouls.
Flamengo vs Bayern Munich
Flamengo upset the odds to top Group D at the Club World Cup but that has actually worked against them as they've landed in the tougher half of the draw for the knockout stages.
They have a daunting last-16 clash with Bayern Munich and if they can get past the Bundesliga champions, Paris St-Germain are their likely opponents in the quarter-finals.
The Brazilians needed a late goal to avoid defeat in their final group game against Los Angeles FC and BoyleSports make them 11/5 outsiders to go through, with Bayern 3/10 hot favourites in the same market.
Vincent Kompany rested a few players for Bayern's final group game with Benfica and it backfired as they lost 1-0. I'd imagine they'll be back to their strongest available side here and Michael Olise could cause a bit of damage.
The French winger has impressed so far and looks good value at 6/4 with Paddy Power to either score or assist.
Bayern should have most of the ball and pressure so I also like Flamengo -1 in the card handicap, which pays 9/5 at Unibet.
Canada v Guatemala
The CONCACAF Gold Cup has also reached the knockout stages and Canada take on Guatemala tonight in the quarter-finals.
The Canadians are gearing up for a World Cup on home soil next summer and have been in pretty decent form so far.
They thrashed Honduras 6-0 on their way to topping Group B and now face a Guatemala side who only edged a 3-2 win over minnows Guadeloupe in their final Group C outing.
So it's easy to see why BoyleSports price the Canadians at just 1/9 to reach the semis, with the odds only increasing to 3/10 for a win inside 90 minutes.
Skipper Jonathan David should lead the line again for Canada and I thought the Lille striker would be odds-on for goal. But he's as big as 23/20 with Unibet for anytime scorer and that looks well worth a punt.
The Canucks should win this one with a bit to spare and backing Canada at -1 in the handicap looks decent as well at 20/21 with BoyleSports.
Sunday's Super Singles
- Sergio Busquets over 1.5 fouls 13/8 Bet365
- Michael Olise to score or assist 6/4 Paddy Power
- Canada -1 handicap 20/21 BoyleSports
