Goals have been flying in in the USA recently and there could be more in this evening's clash in the Big Apple.
New York City host Atlanta and both sides have been among the goals lately. City were involved in a 4-4 thriller last time out when at Cincinnati. After losing out on the league to Bodo/Glimt two years on the bounce, Molde are more determined than ever to win the title back this season. They’re really hitting their straps now, winning 8/11 league games, including their last 6 on the bounce.
Molde have scored 2+ goals in each of those 6 wins and even scored 2 in a 3-2 defeat the game before that. Therefore, this bet would have landed in all of Molde’s last 7 games and in 4 of their 5 away games this season.
Newly promoted Ham-Kam are no mugs and are proving competitive at the top level, but they do concede goals. They’ve conceded 2+ goals in both of their last 2 home games, against mid-table Sarpsborg and a poor Odd team. They’ve only kept 2 clean sheets in their 11 games, conceding 2+ in half their games.
You’d think that if they’re conceding 2+ to the likes of Tromso, Kristiansund, Sarpsborg and Odd, then Molde will have a superb chance of also hitting at least 2. Molde should have way too much quality for Ham-Kam here and I wouldn’t put anyone off Molde to win at a juicy 11/10. I’ll be sticking with the goals option as Molde have been known to concede a few.
With Molde’s current form and newly promoted Ham-Kam’s habit of conceding goals in the vast majority of their games, a shade under evens for high-flying Molde to hit 2+ goals has to be taken on in my opinion.

Sandefjord are the corner kings – conceding them that is! I’d be surprised if there’s another team in Europe who’ve conceded more than them this season. They’ve conceded 92 corners in their 10 leagues matches this season. What can’t be ignored is that 71 of those have come in their 6 away games. That’s an average of 11.8 corners a game when on their travels! Outrageous.
It’s hardly surprising to hear that in their 6 away games, Sandefjord have conceded 7+ in every single one. They’ve conceded: 11,13,11,13,8,15.
On to Sarpsborg. They’re having a good season; they’re very attack minded, sit 7th in the table and they average 7.7 corners at home. They’ve hit 7+ corners in 3 of 6 home games but don’t let that put you off. When we dig deeper, the 3 times they didn’t were all against top sides (Rosenborg, Viking and Molde) and in each game they still managed to hit 6. You’d think they would have a great chance of getting 7+ against Sandefjord, with their stats. In the other 3 home games (all against lesser teams) Sarpsborg hit: 8,12 and 9 corners. That makes good reading.
When facing a team who concede an average of over 11 corners per away game, how can we not have a go on Sarpsborg getting just 7 at a juicy odds against price of 11/10?!
