Serie A offers five reasons to look forward to Sunday, and we are eager to discuss every single fixture with you.
Inter vs. Fiorentina would usually be considered the highlight of the round, but we’re just as intrigued by Como vs. Pisa and Roma vs. Lecce, as they’re crucial for the top four race. Meanwhile, Atalanta and Bologna will try to start a late push for Europe when they face their opponents this weekend.
Each Serie A fixture offers specific betting opportunities, and you can learn more about them in our expert tips and predictions below.
Today’s Serie A betting tips & predictions
Como vs. Pisa (11:30am)
Como need to maintain this form for just a few more weeks to secure a sensational top-four finish, and wins against teams like Pisa are a must.
Como achieved another huge result by beating AS Roma in their last match, while Pisa secured their first win since early November by defeating Cagliari 3-1.
Unfortunately, their joy will be short-lived, as we expect Como to win convincingly. Pisa are the only team in the league without an away win this season.
Como vs. Pisa top betting tip: Como & BTTS – No
Atalanta vs. Verona (2pm)
Verona have only three wins in 29 matches this season, but one of them was a 3-1 victory over Atalanta, so they could be in for a sensational double against La Dea.
However, it’s far more likely that we’ll see the exact opposite and Atalanta dominate the rematch, but we mustn’t forget that their form is actually terrible, as they haven’t won in six consecutive matches.
We’re more inclined to take a risk by betting on goals, and we even expect Verona to find the back of the net. Atalanta have kept just one clean sheet in their last 10 matches across all competitions. The last four H2Hs, meanwhile, have ended with over 2.5 goals.
Atalanta vs. Verona top betting tip: Over 2.5 goals
Bologna vs. Lazio (2pm)
Just three days after knocking Roma out of Europe, Bologna will host the capital’s other powerhouse in a last-ditch attempt to close in on the top six.
Bologna are one of the three teams in the best form in Serie A, with four wins in their last five matches. Lazio, meanwhile, have recorded back-to-back wins for the first time this season, which is a step forward.
Bologna’s poor home form is an interesting factor, with just two wins in their last 10 matches.
A month ago, the teams played at this stadium in the Coppa Italia, and the match ended in a draw in regulation. We plan to back the same result, as Lazio are quite difficult to beat away from home.
Bologna vs. Lazio top betting tip: Draw
AS Roma vs. Lecce (5pm)
AS Roma will be licking their wounds after being knocked out of Europe by another Italian team, and the only way to salvage their season now is to finish in the top four.
The Wolves haven’t won in five straight matches overall, so they definitely need a match against an out-of-form team like Lecce. The visitors are the team with the fewest goals scored this season, while Roma have conceded the fewest goals at home.
Bookmakers are still offering slight value on the home odds, so it’s better to bet early, before kick-off.
AS Roma vs. Lecce top betting tip: AS Roma to win
Fiorentina vs. Inter Milan (7:45pm)
Inter Milan are going through a minor slump, and this match will determine whether it deepens or not.
Fiorentina are in top form with three straight wins across all competitions, while the Nerazzurri have just one win in their last five matches. Still, they have reason to feel somewhat confident, as they have dominated this rivalry in recent years.
For example, Inter have won four of their last five away games at Stadio Artemio Franchi. Four of those five matches also featured at least three goals, which will be our bet for Sunday, given Fiorentina’s recent improvement.
