Saturday offered some very exciting matches, but the highlights will undoubtedly come on Sunday, when we’ll see three of the top-four teams in action.
Hoffenheim will be looking to breathe new life into their season when they host the league’s in-form side, Bayer Leverkusen. Later on, we’ll see a direct battle for the top spot when Freiburg host the champions.

Hoffenheim vs. Bayer Leverkusen (2:30pm)
Hoffenheim go into the match on the back of their best week since the start of the season. Last weekend they beat Borussia Monchengladbach, and then followed that up with a perfect 3-0 over Lyon in the Europa League.
Bayer Leverkusen, however, seem to be on a completely different level and go into the match on the back of six consecutive wins. Over the last few weeks, they have beaten RB Leipzig and Freiburg, so there is no doubt that these results are no fluke.
Hoffenheim surprisingly won both matches against Leverkusen last season. I don’t expect the same this time round, but given their improvement, particularly in attack, I reckon we’ll see a high-scoring match.

Freiburg vs. Bayern Munich (4:30pm)
Apart from Bayer Leverkusen, Freiburg are perhaps the only team to have performed on a par with Bayern Munich so far this season. And given the Bavarians’ last few matches, anything seems possible.
However, Freiburg are coming off the back of back-to-back defeats for the first time since April, though both were away from home. At home, they’ve been perfect so far and are scoring an average of over three goals per match.
It’s clear that Bayern Munich have a phenomenal attack, but their defence has let them down in
recent weeks, conceding seven goals in their last four matches. I’m not sure they’ll win this time, although they’ve suffered just one defeat against Freiburg in their last 20 head-to-head encounters.
