We’re in for a huge Sunday, given that Bayern Munich could clinch the title in advance with several rounds still to go.
To do so, they’ll need to win the Sudderby against Stuttgart and hope Dortmund slip up. Before that, we’ll see Freiburg in their chase for a European spot against Heidenheim, who still have a chance to avoid relegation.
It’s definitely worth tuning in to Sunday’s Bundesliga action, so check out our expert tips and predictions below.
Today’s Bundesliga betting tips & predictions
Freiburg vs. Heidenheim (2:30pm)
Freiburg rewrote their history by reaching their first UEFA tournament semifinal with their two wins over Celta Vigo. Winning the Europa League would secure them a direct spot in European competition, but even if they don’t succeed, it’s not too late for them to qualify through the league.
The question is whether they can keep winning, given that they haven’t had two consecutive wins in the Bundesliga since January. But they have won five of their last six matches across all competitions, and their only loss came against Bayern Munich.
Heidenheim pulled off a rare win and haven’t lost in three straight matches. Their survival would be one of the great moments of the league, but to achieve that, they need to win every one of their remaining matches. It is precisely because of these factors that we’ll bet on over 2.5 goals, rather than picking a winner.
Freiburg vs. Heidenheim top betting tip: Over 2.5 goals
Bayern Munich vs. Stuttgart (4:30pm)
There’s no rest for Bayern Munich, but it seems there’s no stopping them either. They have one more match coming up against Stuttgart, who aren’t in bad form.
But that form is unlikely to help them, given that they haven’t won at the Allianz Arena since 2018 and have already lost two matches to Bayern this season. The last one was a humiliating 5-0 loss.
However, we should also note the Bavarians’ weaker defensive play and the fact that they’ve conceded at least one goal in eight of their last 10 matches. So, Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 goals seems like a very likely outcome.
Bayern Munich vs. Stuttgart top betting tip: BTTS & Over 2.5 goals
Borussia Monchengladbach vs. Mainz (6:30pm)
Mainz have been eliminated from the Conference League and now have almost nothing left to play for, given that they are mid-table. They haven’t secured their survival yet, but they’re seven points above the relegation zone with five games remaining.
Borussia Monchengladbach are in a much more precarious position, just four points above the drop zone, so this match is certainly crucial for them. Their recent performances haven’t been bad, as they’ve scored quite a few more goals than usual.
Before their loss to Freiburg, Mainz hadn’t lost in nine consecutive matches. They’re certainly the better of the two teams, but they’re the visitors, so we’ll take a chance on BTTS.
