A HOME clash with Ross County gives Dundee United the perfect chance to make amends and they are the first team on my Top Treble at 1-2 with Betfred.
Victories to nil against Aberdeen and Motherwell raised fans’ expectations before a 6-1 horror show against Celtic.
County arrive at Tannadice with boss Derek Adams saying his new players are yet to adapt to the pace of Scottish football and that points me further towards United.
The Dingwall men usually come to life after the new year and three defeats in a row leaves them in a poor state for a tough trip to Tannadice.
Celtic travel to leaders Inverness at lunchtime with boss Ronny Deila saying he’ll ring the changes ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League crunch with Maribor. The Hoops are sitting pretty after a 1-1 draw in Maribor and won’t take any risks with a £20million bounty at stake.
ICT boss John Hughes says whatever side Celtic will put out will be strong but often the second stringers failed to perform under Neil Lennon. I wouldn’t advise having a bet until you see line-ups. Celtic are a best 1-2 with firms such as Hills while ICT are 6-1 at Ladbrokes.
If Celtic’s side is weak a punt on ICT on the handicaps is the call.
Elsewhere the other Premiership games look tough to call. Dundee have drawn their opening three games and could pick up another point at St Mirren.
Killie are 13-8 with Ladbrokes at home to Motherwell and could edge this one while St Johnstone have a poor record against Aberdeen so I’m on the away at 29-20 with Hills.
Partick Thistle entertain new boys Hamilton and while I’m on the Jags the best bet could be both to score at 9-10 at McBookie.
In the Championship Rangers are no bigger than 1-6 (various) to beat a Dumbarton side who have started with two defeats. The most popular bet will be Kris Boyd at 4-5 at Coral to score following his hat-trick against Clyde. I tipped him to net first and he is 10-3 at Coral to break the deadlock.
Hearts fielded their kids in Wednesday’s Challenge Cup defeat at Livingston and should beat Raith but I’m reluctant to back them without banned striker Osman Sow.
Hibs v Falkirk looks tough to call but should be a cracker and both to score pays 4-6 at bet365.
My Super Single comes from League and I'm on Peterhead at home to a Morton side taken to extra time by Berwick in midweek. Morton won 5-2 but that disguises a poor show over 90 minutes and Peterhead have started the season well with star striker Rory McAllister capable of hurting any side.
