ST MIRREN look excellent value at 13/10 to continue their challenge for fourth place when they welcome Aberdeen to Paisley.

The Saints were miles below their best when they snatched a late leveller in Dingwall in midweek to claim a point against Ross County.

But they are usually far better at home and their ground has been something of a fortress this season with only Kilmarnock outside the Old Firm winning in Paisley.

They entertained Aberdeen at home back in August and battered them in one of the most one-sided games you could see and somehow had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

But they fancy themselves to put that right and they have been backed all week in from 8/5.

Saints also went to Pittodrie and romped to a 3-0 win so they know their way to goal against the Dons who were abysmal yet again in a midweek defeat to struggling St Johnstone.

They are sleepwalking their way into a relegation battle and there is zero sign they can get out their slump under Neil Warnock.

DUNDEE UNITED suffered a shock midweek defeat at home to Airdrie to dent their title hopes, but they can score at least two at Firhill against a Partick Thistle side who can't stop conceding goals.

Jim Goodwin's men seem to feeling the pressure, but they romped to a 5-0 win in Maryhill earlier this season and beat them 3-0 at Tannadice and the Jags can't defend.

They have problems in central defence and in goal and have kept one clean sheet in the league this year. They shipped three at home to a Dunfermline side who hadn't won in nine games and then four in midweek to Ayr
United. They have conceded 13 in their last four games.

Thistle are decent in an attacking sense so it's far from impossible they could take something, but the visitors really should be able to score at least twice at a solid 4/5.

ELGIN CITY are worth backing at 6/5 to get a win or a draw at Clyde.

The Bully Wee busted countless coupons last week with a quite remarkable 6-1 win at runaway League Two leaders and champions-elect Stenhousemuir, which was one of the strangest results you'll see all season.

They are 4/6 favourites to beat Elgin, but the Moray side are actually the form side in the league, having won at Spartans and drawn with Stenny and Peterhead. They also beat Clyde in January.

Clyde's stunning win last week was only their fourth league win of the season and Elgin are no mugs.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
ST MIRREN 13/10
DUNDEE UNITED TO SCORE OVER 1.5 GOALS 4/5
ELGIN CITY DOUBLE CHANCE 6/5.
